General manager Walt Jocketty thought he might be able to swing a deal that would have brought outfielder Coco Crisp to the Reds. Crisp, instead, was traded from Boston to Kansas City on Wednesday. The Reds have been in contact with the agents for David Weathers, Mike Lincoln and Jerry Hairston Jr. since free agency opened up Friday. But no deals are in the immediate offing.
