Giants Coach Tom Coughlin is often a man of few words, and there were fewer than usual Thursday when he discussed a new leg injury to Plaxico Burress. After saying only "hamstring" to describe the problem that kept Burress out of practice, Coughlin's prognosis for recovery was "we will see." When asked if the injury occurred this week, Coughlin said: "Just now. Overnight and into today." It was not announced which leg was hurt.

Coughlin is doin a Bellichuck with - everyone. The Giants are going to win the Super Bowl. They have the best team and them boys - the Titans....they have not really played any teams that are "competitive" this season. Sue this is the NFL, but there is a big difference between the NFC and the AFC.

He probably hurt his leg during the multiple times that he has put his foot in his mouth.

Yes, the Giants have a tougher schedule than the Titans. But Tennessee is undefeated, what more could they do?

Is there a time when Burress did not have a leg injury? Is he avoiding practice or explaining why he has had poor games recently.

I wish someone would cut BOND 007's fingers off. This man seriously irritates me.

November 21, 2008  08:46 AM ET

Funny Bloodclott...you want to be first I take it.

November 21, 2008  08:50 AM ET

Burress...what about that monster running back...is he playing or not?

Funny!

This would be worse than Jacobs not playing, but the G-Men are not reliant on anyone at any position, QB of caorse is always a big drop off. That said...hope he is healthy enough to at least decoy.

November 21, 2008  09:36 AM ET

I think he's choking on his own ego......

RELIANT?

OF CAORSE?

UH! What's happening...come again?

All I have to say is NOT to worry. Plax leg is fine, don't nobody gets hurt that bad when one of your babies mommas is yanking on your leg!

LOL - I said something similiar in an earlier post today.

November 21, 2008  10:05 AM ET

he played all last season with a bad ankle and racked up something like 200 yards in the nfc championship in greenbay in minus twenty degree weather. plax will be fine and he will show up to play when the jints need him most. besides the team is deep at wr with sinorice moss, steve smith, domick hixon, amani toomer... no worries here.

November 21, 2008  10:48 AM ET

I would like to see Hixon out there again. He lit it up against Seattle. Maybe more exposure will make Plaxico expendable.

The Giants have done a great job this season of keeping a tight ship. Burress is doing his darndest to be a brat (mentally he's a rebellious teenager), but they play well either way. Don't get me wrong, having Burress on the field is a boon whether or not he gets 10 catches, 100 yards and a TD, because he forces coverages to pay attention to him. But in the end, the players and the coaching staff have found ways to deal with him on or off the field. It never ceases to amaze me how some of these players can have fame, fortune, adulation, and not be happy with that. If my bosses were a tough SOB's, but signed my six figure weekly paychecks, I'd be thrilled!

Play Hixon-he's faster than Burress. Save Burress for the playoffs

David Carr is better than Eli Manning
