What does the future hold for Bengals wide receiver Chad Ocho Cinco in Cincinnati? His agent isn't sure. Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN that Ocho Cinco's fate is in Bengals owner Mike Brown's hands. "We know we're not going to bully our way out of Cincinnati," Rosenhaus said. "It's going to be Mike Brown's way or no way at all. It's going to be up to Mike Brown. He's going to decide whether or not Chad's going to be with the team in the future and we're going to basically take a low-key approach to that."

If I was in Cincy, I would happily pay a sur-charge on my season tickets to let this loser sit - and not play for anybody else... Bravo for the Bengals to stand up to this idiot... he is the main reason the Bengals have slid back to loserville from where they were just 2 years ago...

What a moron... why is this guy still news... it amazes me how they the media still interviews guys like Chad and Owens when the fans would rather see receivers who have good stats and are great teamates dedicated to their team - interviewed...

Why not interview Boldin?.... Fitzgerald?.... Andre Johnson?.... Greg Jennings?.... Roddy White?.... Calvin Johnson?.....God - there are so many better people that I would like to see - and my kids see getting the deserved POSITIVE attention...

Fonzie, great post. Chad is a big cry baby. It's not hard to tell Owens is his roll model.

November 21, 2008  08:12 AM ET

Did this franchise self distruct?. I guess chosing players with character does count.

November 21, 2008  08:15 AM ET

Heeeeeeyyyyyyy - the Fonz is right. Those Cardinal receivers deserve props. Actually SI has a great article on the WR and team in recent issue. "Perhaps you need to take a look", says Potsie.

November 21, 2008  08:17 AM ET

Is there anything positive about this franchise? Even Palmer is on the downside of his career now.

Agree with the Fonz. The Cards remind me, and probably Warner too, of the Rams of years ago, when Warner was there.

Chad is just one of a small group of WRs that seem to be non-team players. Or only team players as long as the team is winning. Chad doesn't seem to realize that his "me first" attitude limits his worth on the open market Many teams will not want that type of baggage. Some coaches/teams (i.e. see Dallas) will at least try to work with difficult players, but that only helps for a while (TO is now complaining). Chad, if you want out of Cincy, play like a player other teams would actually want on their roster.

November 21, 2008  08:26 AM ET

YOU ARE WRONG!!! I would want out too if my team were as bad as the Bengals.... You can't blame their losing on him. And if you do, you're even more delusional than i originally thought. First of all, when he performs, he is one of the best in the league. So why would he risk injury for peanuts? Second, management promised to re-work his contract and then they went back on their word. Third, he decided to suck it up and go back to work but then Palmer got shut down for the season which means he had absolutely NO chance at winning. So why would he risk even greater injury now with no shot at winning?

I just love how you people bash a man for making rational career decisions, like you would do somethig different had you had an ounce of athletic ability. There's a reason why you're home sitting on your couches getting fat, and he's a multimillion dollar football player... You might not like what he does because you are a fan (fanatic - a holder of extreme or irrational enthusiasms or beliefs) but he's not playing football to feed into your belief system. He's playing to earn a living. Get off his Planters Peanuts... Let the man be...

I listen to Bengals Radio in the morning...Sad, Sad, Sad

November 21, 2008  08:46 AM ET

I feel bad for Cincy fans, and all because this guys a jerk. Play
the game and shut your mouth as that's what you get paid for.
He's trying to get out of Cincy period. Cut him, but other owners
should not sign him and set an example to these thugs.

I agree.....it's very sad that you would actually listen to Bengals Radio.

hmmmmm, yeah you are right.
And...wouldnt the Fonz have had a STD?

"What does the future hold for Bengals wide receiver Chad Ocho Cinco?"

I can tell you what it doesn't hold...a place in the HOF. Ohno Stinko doesn't even deserve consideration, unless we're talking about the overrated loud mouth HOF.

QUOTE(#9):

Per ESPN, "The base salaries for the balance of the deal are as follows: $3 million (for 2008), $4.5 million (2009), $5 million (2010) and $6 million (2011)." Peanuts? You sir, are an idiot.

Go away you annoying little turd!

Well, it was the '50's so yeah, he probably did. At least until Mrs. Cunningham got ahold of him.

November 21, 2008  09:31 AM ET

another season like this one, and Chad can kiss the HoF good-bye. as for people saying brown needs to let chad go, why? it does nothing to benefit brown or the bengals. the only thing it gets him, is 4th - 7th round pick and a multi-million dollar cap hit.

i'd love to see the bengals tag TJ and keep him. getting rid of Chad is the only way that will happen. since brown is too cheap to pay both WRs like top 10 wrs. but brown won't let chad go. so TJ goes..

Why do these bad teams keep kissing the arses of these cancers? Pacman, Shockey, Chad and all the others only break teams up, they dont make teams better. Look at the Bengals, they have 1 win all season. They couldnt be any worse if he wasnt there and they wouldnt have the headache. STOP signing these cancers you idiot owners.
