The driver-crew chief pairing of Travis Kvapil and Todd Parrott could end after just one season at Yates Racing. Kvapil was 23rd in the NASCAR Sprint Cup driver standings this season for Yates Racing, which was the revamped version of Robert Yates Racing after Robert Yates' son, Doug, took ownership of the team along with Roush Fenway Racing executive Max Jones beginning this year. In response to published reports that Parrott was leaving after this season, the team has released the following statement: "All that we can say at this time is that Yates Racing started with all new employees for the 2008 season from various teams, and with a full season behind us, we have decided to regroup and reassign some of those folks. Todd Parrott's role for next season has not been determined."

I'm thinking Todd just HAS to be burned out by this point. Probably better if he doesn't want to crew chief long term that they get someone in that can be around awhile and build some chemistry...I see Yates making a comeback if they can get the sponsors and continue the Rousch alliance.

p.s. "Firsties!!!" ;-)

Way to go SI..........a Travis story, (so Parrott). My question is will Travis be back next year? I thought that issue was in doubt. To bad Kvapil cant hook up with some really fine equipment...he did great for Yates. Kicked Robby Gordon's arse now didnt we?

You are right, I don't think there is a team out there that hasn't been effected by what's going on.
