Terrelle Pryor is expected to start his first game in the rivalry this weekend, but the two programs continue to recruit the same prospects in Michigan, Ohio, Florida and elsewhere. The day after this weekend's big game, both teams' coaches will be awaiting word from Lauderhill (Fla.) Plantation four-star safety Vladimir Emilien. The 6-foot-1, 186-pound Emilien is choosing between four programs, Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Stanford.

It's the day before the big game, and this is all T&R could come up with????

November 21, 2008  07:52 AM ET

Emilien, go to tOSU if you want to win. Or go to Standford if you want to learn. Or go to Wisconsin if you like cheese. Or stay home & play for one of FL's state schools. Or go to meeeeeechigaaaaaan & play for a prick named Dick Rod!

November 21, 2008  08:57 AM ET

and another shocker from the DFP! Really? Ohio State and UM recruit the same guys? I thought that would happen.

November 21, 2008  09:03 AM ET

Really? Sure as shittin? Next thing you're gonna report is that OSU/Mich fans aren't keen on each other!

November 21, 2008  09:06 AM ET

Not too long ago, OSU insiders said that Vlad the Impaler was an OSU lock. Then he hurt his knee and OSU soured on him. UM always showed him love even with bum knee. UM insiders think he will GO BLUE. We'll find out on Monday but it's imperative that UM get safeties that know how to take the right angle and can tackle. Current safeties at UM couldn't find the right angle even if given a protractor. And I know three year olds that can tackle better than what I have seen with UM's team (this is not just a problem of this year but has been a problem for many seasons).

And let's just hope UM's upset over UCLA foreshadows what is to come to OSU.

November 21, 2008  09:27 AM ET

How bout that b-ball win last night? UM fans might actually get to watch basketball this year instead of whatever is was they were playing for the last five years...it was some derranged form of european handball i think.

It is christmas eve for OSU or UM fans. This is gonna be an interesting game. UM with absolutley nothing to lose and a highly underachieving buckeye team. Mr pryor's first game in the rivalry as well as RR's first game. Many will say this is gonna be a blowout but I will bet on a close spread for sure! I say michigan by 6...UM's defensive front being the difference maker along with a martavious odom monster day on special teams.
Go Blue
R.I.P. BO!

What does it take to get into OSU?
A 3rd grade reading level and an affinity for boone's farm

November 21, 2008  09:37 AM ET

In spite of the angst most of you UM fans have for ND this is one Irish fan that hopes you guys "find a way" this weekend. If UM can keep it close into the second half those OSU collars might get a little "tight." (I am also hoping ND can do the same thing against USC next week but I think that is less likely). Good luck Blue. A win this weekend would be a cornerstone to build on for 2009!

M. Trent has to be the most over-rated DB. We need help there!

I would have to disagree with you there. I think trent and warren are solid players. I think they should have played man a little bit more instead of playing a soft zone much of the year. They are two aggresive corners and asking them to play zone is not their strength. Plus Boubocar is coming along nicely.

How do you get a Michigan grad off your porch?

Pay him for the pizza.

You may be right.... It just seems like he gets burned alot! I know he can lay the wood on someone just not sure about the coverage. As much as I have watched, I will take notice tomorrow and see how they cover. Boubocar is really impressive. I am impressed, especially with is size. T.P's running ability scares me though. If the defense doesn't tackle good, it is going to be a looooooong day.

doesnt work with Michigan grads so well...they tend to win nobel prizes, become astronauts and become president of the US...just ask your boss.

That would be funny if you didnt use it with michigan. Cause Michigan is know worldwide for its academics. You get a degree from UM and you dont ever have to worry about a job again, your resume gets moved right to the top.

I agree with you that trent has not been anything special...except the minnesota game where he was blowing up the screen. Ive been disapointed by warren too this year. They have been giving him alot of single coverage but he still seems to get beat alot. Boubacar is gonna be a solid cover corner.
Tomorrow is all about getting Pryor flustered

I would say be prepared for a long day....as much as i dislike The Ohio State Teabaggers, on paper they are scarry good. BUT, anything can happen in a rivalry game especially with two first year starting QBS

OSU grads are just as successful as UM's. Our medical program ranks with the best of them. by the way we have to be able to count to 10 because we will end our regular season with 10 wins, on the other hand UM grads only have to count to 9 which will be the number of losses they end up with. Sorry it's the truth.

Rich Rod has done something Brian Ellerbe and Tommy Amaker have not been able to do...Make Michigan a basketball school.

Fear the Beanie.
