This gets rid of an every day mistake for the Red Sox and who knows they might actually get a year or two out of Willis as a fifth starter. I hope not but they might.

Given the depth of the Sox pitching, they can take a flyer on Willis, especially if they get the Lugo contract off their hands. Hey, they are going to have to pay the money anyway, so why now? Starting pitching isn't exactly a need for them, but he is still young and they seem to be able to get the best out of pitchers.

Redsox and Cubs should have traded Crisp for Marquis straight up!!

I would ABSOLUTELY trade for dontrell since the salaries match
Lugo simply sucks- that ain't changing
Willis- has been bad- but a tinker here, tinkler there & he might
at least be serviciable.......why not take the risk ?

Leyland knows as much about pitching as Obama knows about foreign policy!, hopefully Dombrowski won't let Leyland influence him when it comes to pitching decision'S concerning the team, that being said, they should make this deal!

as a sox fan id take this we have a ss we can always use more pitching, and maybe d-train will come back to life in beantown

What happened to Detroit being so high on their SS prospects?
