Another rumor making the rounds is that the Huskies might be interested in LSU coach Les Miles, who interviewed at UW in 2004 when Tyrone Willingham was hired.

Are you kidding me? If Miles wouldn't leave for Michigan, he sure as hell isn't going to leave for Washington.

They shoulda took him in 2004 while they had the chance!

I wouldn't be so sure of that. I think Miles is tired of living in Saban's shadow and after this year it is only going to get worse.

I bet there are some mad folks in Louisianna right now...

November 24, 2008  09:08 AM ET

well if he goes to washington he's got nowhere to go but up

November 24, 2008  09:09 AM ET

The folks that are mad in Louisiana about the possibility that Miles would leave are likely the same ones howling for his scalp right now.

Les is finding out the price of following success, even though he's has a fair amount on his own.

Take him please. He isn't very smart. He wanted to go to Michigan, but they wouldn't return his phone calls. He makes George W. Bush look like an intellectual...DuffyShort

Can LSU keep a coach??

impossible...

I heard Saban is going to UW and Tommy Turb is going to Bama, and Miles is going to Auburn and Tommy Dowden is coming to LSU, and Ty Willingham is going to Tennesee, and Phulmer is giong to Syracuse, and Bill Cowher is taking the Clemson Job.

I also heard Elvis was flipping burgers at McDonalds and JFK was working the drive thru

November 24, 2008  09:54 AM ET

"Wolverines STILL interested in Les Miles."

November 24, 2008  10:07 AM ET

les miles is a horrible head coach, he's just finally wringing out the last drops of success from the last coaching regime.

That's probably more feasible than Miles leaving LSU for Washington

November 24, 2008  10:43 AM ET

He should be a truck driver. He certainly knows how they position a hat.

Do you realize that Washington is a comparable job? It is not a step down by any means and in some ways, it is much better.

It certainly smells better. Baton Rouge is a sewer and the fans smell like corndogs.

I won't dump on Miles for this season. He took a hard decision, (maybe it was easy?) and got rid of Perilloux. And Sat was playing a guy at QB who started the spring as the 4th string QB.

But, things aren't going to get much easier.

November 24, 2008  11:21 AM ET

Won't happen.
