Edwards: New car just fine

09:00 AM ET 11.25 | Now that NASCAR's new car has been used for one full season in the Sprint Cup Series, Carl Edwards has a suggestion concerning how to treat the model going forward: Leave it alone. "I think the best thing you can do for this car is just let it be what it is - don't change the rules and let it be that way for as many years as we can do it," Edwards said at media day for the Nationwide Series banquet in Orlando, Fla. "I think it's a safe car. I think that the racing is so tight and competitive. "I don't think it's the aerodynamics so much [that make it hard to drive]. -- That's the path NASCAR has said they want to go down. That's the path I think is the most fair and good."
