The Pirates are among the teams to have inquired about trading for Atlanta's terrific catching prospect, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, according to a source directly involved in the matter.

Like em3tt stated, what do the Pirates have to offer other than pitching? I don't expect them to give up any of their starters other than Chacon. Gorzo would be their best bargaining chip but they would be nuts to give him up. So that leads a minor league starter and possibly a reliever.
