NCAA rules on IU: 3 years probation
Indiana University will receive three years probation from the NCAA for the recruiting violations under former men's basketball coach Kelvin Sampson, but will not be further penalized, a source close to the investigation told The Indianapolis Star today. IU's self-administered sanctions, including a reduction of scholarships, were deemed sufficient. Sampson, now an assistant with the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks, was given a five-year "show cause" penalty, which essentially prevents NCAA schools from hiring him. Rob Senderoff, a former IU assistant and now an assistant at Kent State, was given a three-year show case penalty. It's not yet clear how he will be affected.

Sampson is such a loser. Cant believe the Bucks are paying him. He should be interning somewhere. What a robber baron.

And the NCAA double standards hit again. It's all very nice to hit Sampson with even more sanctions and he really deserves it.
HOWEVER if what happened at Indiana had happened at any smaller school the NCAA would have banned them from postseason play and much more. Yet Indiana gets away with self-administered sanctions.....
