Sources: Eagles still confident in Reid

Now that the public has weighed in so heavily against Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid, what is the talk within the inner sanctum of the Eagles? Two sources close to the ultimate decision-makers on the Eagles seem much more inclined to blame the quarterback's support system - the offensive line and wide receivers - than the quarterback himself for the Eagles' woes. Likewise, the Eagles' brain trust remains confident that Reid is a quality head coach and that there is a significant amount of talent in the locker room, the sources said yesterday. On the other hand, one of the sources acknowledged that those beliefs have not translated into results on the field, where the Eagles are 5-5-1 going into tomorrow night's game against the Arizona Cardinals at Lincoln Financial Field.

This is crap to me. I remember when the Eagles used to have Torrance Small and Todd Pinkston as their recievers and they still went to the NFC championship game. Then they got James Thrash (exactly) and that was suppose to be a big pick up. Guess what? They went to the NFC championship game again. Now they have Reggie Brown (2nd Round pick, Georgia) and Desean Jackson (2nd round pick, Cal). Last year Donte Stalworth was on the team (didn't make the playoffs).

I'm just saying, Reid's playcalling ability has gotten progressively worse. But i can't stand these McNabb loyalist who act like he's God and don't pin any blame on him and look to blame everybody else. McNabb and Reid used to do more with less back in the day. They both deserve some of the blame, especially McNabb. He's the one who's out there actually throwing the interceptions, can't blame that on anybody else.

OK it's quote that picture time...I'lll start with:

"We have 4 downs to get this far? OK. I want to go no huddle, run 4 Hail Marys in a row, and see if you can sneak a delay of game in there."

Stallworth was on the Patriots last year. He was here two years ago and went to the playoffs with Garcia.
