Juan Pablo Montoya has insisted that he doesn't have any interest in returning to Formula One, despite admitting that he has had offers to make a comeback. The Colombian quit F1 mid-way through the 2006 season and headed for America to take up the challenge of racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The 33-year-old finished 25th in the Sprint Cup standings this season with Chip Ganassi Racing and speculation suggested he could be a target for some teams on the F1 grid -- with Toro Rosso revealing it failed in an approach for the former Williams and McLaren ace. However, Montoya admitted that even if Ferrari or McLaren were to come calling, he had no interest in making a return to F1 and was settled in his new surroundings.

And if he does will folks miss him that much? He's a good driver but I don't think the NASCAR world warmed up to him completely. Except when he went toe-to-toe with Harvick at the Glenn.

Thats a good thing then him and truex jr. can go COMPETE in what would be a four car team of Stewart, Newman, Montoya, and Truex Jr. wouldn't that be something stewarts crazy enough to do it

If it goes as the economy rolls there will only be a 36 car field anyhow and they will all be one color per team; sponsorship $$$$ being what they are.

oh all the naysayers.....nascar will survive and dei/ganassi will be here .... we will be seeing a full 43 car field next year and racing will be just as messed up then as it is now....

Yep, Yep! Juan is in Nascar to stay. He's not going to lose his job and If he did he would have somewhere to go believe that. I would love for him to drive for Stewart! That would rock!

Did anyone notice the name that Bruce Martin came up with for Ganassi-Earnhardt Racing? Chip and Dale Racing! Not bad. I predict it will catch on.

JPM has nothing to prove in F-1. He's already conquered those machines. But I suspect stock cars are something he has to prove to himself that he can win in also. That goal, I suspect, has proven much harder than he thought. Keep at it JPM. Perhaps some better equipment might help reach that goal.

Wow, that is funny. Well, since it's an Army call, we've been known to swear a little now and then. But that's still funny. Guess one of the moderators failed Army Basic and is a little miffed.

For JPM to go back to F1, he would have to stop eating at McDonald's, and that's NOT going to happen!

What does that mean?

He can't fit into a F1 car anymore. ;)

Why would JPM go back to formula 1? He would have to drive a second rate car, in a series where only a very few have any real chance of winning...
