Three schools top No. 1 RB's list
Marcus Lattimore of Duncan, S.C., has 20 offers and is a candidate to be the nation's No. 1 tailback for 2010. At one time or another, Lattimore has said either Clemson, South Carolina or Georgia have been his leader. However, Lattimore told The State (S.C.) Newspaper that while he is still considering those three schools, he's going to consider all colleges.

I've seen this kid play. He is a stud that stars on an elite program (Byrnes).

Well, nevermind, it looks like we are recruiting him, so we obviously want and need him.

The Tide don't need the kid, they have Ingram already and Richardson on the way (even though he is doing a lot of talking to LSU). They just are trying to get in to see where they stand with the kid. Florida State is doing the same thing. Signing two TBs this year, signed two TBs last year and still extending an offer to this kid.
Part of it though is if the kid plays for you then he can't play against you. Rivals lists 11 teams talking to the kid and 9 of them are in the SEC or ACC. So the fear of him lighting your team is up why some of these coaches are after him.
