08:03 AM ET 12.10 | USC Coach Tim Floyd is looking forward to reaping some benefits by addition after several weeks marked by attrition. Floyd said Tuesday that he was optimistic that 6-foot-10 freshman Nikola Vucevic would have amateurism issues cleared by the NCAA in the next few days so that the Montenegro native could play this season. Floyd also is eyeing Dec. 20 as the date that Connecticut transfer Marcus Johnson will be eligible to join the Trojans.

Hopefully something can be salvaged this season... the NCAA's denial of Alex was disappointing, but no shocker, Simmons' decision to transfer hurts the back court, Cunningham's injury depleted the front court, and Demar hasn't lived up to the hype...

The NCAA is finnaly getting it right in letting these kids play. Way to go Coach Floyd. I hope and believe that USC is on its way to becoming competetive in basketball. Fight On!

Why does SC keep adding these questionable players to the team? No matter how good they are. these type of players will not build a successful program.

Not sure what the deal with Vucevic is but hopefully it's not something stupid like what happened to Dragovic on the Bruins.
