There's talk among Miami players that Shawnbrey McNeal and other seldom-used backups are looking at transferring, but UM is reluctant to grant releases before the bowl game.

Speaking of teams I love to hate.......

Good recruiter.........Bad coach..............and so the story continues with Miami

svtjer, where you at now...like has been stated all year miami or what was the "u" is garbage, not only are the starting players gargage but apparently the "seldom-used" backups are garbage as well. shannon should cut his losses, I'm sure meyer would love to have them ride the pine at florida, because if they can't see the field at miami there is no way in hell they would ever see it a florida. (had to mention florida svtjer is a huge gator)

This happens everywhere. So no need to read anything into this.

December 10, 2008  10:34 AM ET

Does Luther Campbell approve of this?

December 10, 2008  10:49 AM ET

USF, you now have a few more players.

December 10, 2008  11:10 AM ET

As a Michigan fan, I can say have fun with that

December 10, 2008  11:40 AM ET

In fact this could be a good sign since (maybe) the current back-ups see the talent coming in and know they will spend their careers on the bench.

Why are Michigan fans posting on a article about Miami? Aren't you guys living in your basements this time of year?

McNeal was ranked a 3 star by Rivals the year he was recruited. Did he really think he'd be used a lot as a sophomore? I don't follow Miami much, but they also recruited a 5 star RB that year. McNeal needs to be happy with what he has.

Can we get the coach to transfer?

I think you can replace Miami with Michigan in that statement, and it would have more truth to it !!

December 10, 2008  12:36 PM ET

They should go to FSU - they'd likely get quick playing time, and any off-field problems would fit right in there (yes, you could crack on our off-field troubles, too, but they wouldn't see the field at UF).

How do you know he's a good recruiter if the players are mediocre? .... Perhaps his recruiting is overrated.... I wouldn't put a lot of stock into what rivals.com says....

There always a lot of people who are suppose to be great commentators or brilliant analyst when it comes to analyzing a recruiting class. Even rival fans seem to know what is best at another college football. There are few that are creditable in the points that are made but lets be realistic that Randy Shannon is the Head Coach brought a lot of young talent and nothing will clearly show until we have another year to critique. A head Coach should be evaluated after three years. The point that there may be players not content with there playing time may be completely be true but what major colleges don't have the same problems. Players who have transfer, the majority of them have had a tough time rebounding. The bottom line is clear that the "U" is rebounding and its just of matter of time. I respect a lot of colleges and many are rivals but I will continue to state the truth and not bad mouth anyone. Every major college rises and falls in history so if your team is on top enjoy it while it last. Let???s go Canes!

Shell, you are the equivalent of a pile of horse manure. You just wish your college football team had the track record of Michigan and you are dumber than a box of rocks to think ONE season redefines a football program. Basically everytime you open your mouth or type your thoughts, it sheds even more light on how stupid you are. Keep it up!

im right here you tool. i just got home from picking my truck up in miami.

funny how you said i couldnt post without being a ****.. it sure looks like the same applies to you, and every other gaytor.

on to the article, did you ever consider that the reason hes not seeing the field is because he SUCKS? have you seen our commit list for this upcoming year? if i was him i wouldnt be staying either - theres no way he will ever see the field.

now, take your head out of your **** for once, think outside your ****, and perhaps you could have figured that out without me telling you.

like i said before, you are one of the most arrogant and ignorant mother **** i have ever come across on a message board.
