The Indians are expected to make a decision on closer Kerry Wood on Saturday. They've already agreed to a two-year deal worth an estimated $20 million, but won't make it official until studying the results of Wood's physical. The former Cubs right-hander was examined Thursday in Cleveland. GM Mark Shapiro, after receiving the results of the physical Friday, was expected to make a recommendation to Indians President Paul Dolan. The final decision would rest with Dolan.

Really? I thought they got Kerry Wood, you know the guy that's injured more often than not?

If "gamer" means "nail biter" in Swahili then I concur.

2 years and $20 million could be too much, but the Indians bullpen was not good last year. If he's healthy, he's worth it. That's a big IF.

Not worth that price injury is going to happen for sure.

The best thing Cleveland could do with their dwindling population and continued loss of jobs in the rust belt is relocate all their sports franchises. Move the Browns to L.A. or Ft. Lauderdale (yes South Florida has enough Northern Ohio transplants to support them), the Indians to Mexico City (the worlds largest city) and the Cavs, well the Cavs may as well just fold the franchise after LeBron departs after next season, or they could move to Europe.
Kerry Wood, are you kidding me!! What a joke.

I hope he gets to shut down the White Sox a few times this year. I wish him the best of luck.

I hope he bodes well, but signing a 2-year contract was a good move. You never know with Kerry..

Good luck Woody.

Even though your avatar indicates your a fan of the worst pro sports franchise in history, I agree with that comment.

I found most people named Tony are jack(offs). But we all cant win all the time can we?

I'm still sad that we didn't at least offer him arbitration. :(

This one is, for sure, but his real name isn't Tony, it's Sally.

Wood will be better in Cleveland than Borowski. He could get a bunch of saves with the Indians, who could be much better next season. I'm a little surprised he didn't head to Texas, which needs arms. Guess they didn't want to pay that much.

DUMB MOVE.
