Five teams looking at Japanese pitcher

The Braves are among the many Major League teams that met with Kenshin Kawakami's representatives during this past week's Winter Meetings in Las Vegas. But for now, the Japanese hurler stands as just one of the many options that Braves general manager Frank Wren is evaluating. Kawakami has also drawn interest from the Mets, Orioles, Angels and Red Sox. None of these teams are believed to have made offers to the 33-year-old hurler, who would be the first Japanese free agent to sign with the Braves.

I keep hearing O's O's O's on this one....

I watched Kenshin play here in Osaka against the Hanshin Tigers this past October in the playoffs. He pitched well but he is better off as an MLB 5th starter I think. I think Koji Uehara, who is also going over to the majors, is the pitcher that teams should look at now.

33 is not old especially for a pitcher, have you ever heard of these guys?- Randy Johnson (42), John Smoltz(40),Jaime Moyer (44), Greg Maddux (41), Tom Glavine (41), El Duque Hernandez (45?, 50?, who knows?), David Wells (44), Kenny Rogers (42), Curt Schilling (40).
