Torres is real good. But if they can't get him I wouldnt mind getting Kun Aguero. Aguero is going to be REAL good in a couple of years

topping Raul Morientes and especially David Villa who is worth more is too much to proclaim but he'll def end up as one of the top 3 strikers of all time

NYSTATEOFMIND, how can you say Raul and Villa are close to Puskas, di Stefano, or Luis Suarez, who are the three greatest ever for Spain. Torres outclasses both Morientes and Villa in the world cup. Playing in the EPL is way different than in Spain. Villa and Morientes may be better in Spain, with free open football. But to challenge in the EPL, you have to be strong as you'll be given virtually no space and the tackles, air battles, etc. are much harder. (Look at Morientes at Liverpool) As you've seen in the WC, Torres is much more versatile in the way he plays and will bag many more goals than both in differnet styles of play. Villa will not be as successful in the EPL, and Morientes wasn't. In Italy, they should be equal. Villa and Morientes are not the best and Torres will be at least at their level, if not better.

Common Torres is no Pukas as of yet but Athletico dont want Cisse they want Crouch and money for Torres and this maybe a good move for Crouch to own La Liga with his good first touch and towering size he would certainly dominate La Liga in matter of a season or two.

Cisse and money is a great deal for liverpool. maybe arsenal could jump in to replace thierry?

Foxsports.com is where i read that they value Crouch more than Garcia and Cisse, and who can blame there prez trying to get a big force in there b/c they wont be able to move the ball as well with these loses so they might as well start cossing it in the mix.

yea arsenalfan thats what i read too...i dont think Rafa would be for dealing away crouch though. he's such a gifted player and brings so much to the pitch when he's on. i do like the idea of Cisse, Garcia and some cash for torres but neither is anywhere close to the aerial presence that Atletico are looking for like Crouch is. I have a feeling that Man U will throw the idea of Saha and some cash out there, maybe even Alan Smith since it seems that the club isnt exactly interested in him...only time will tell however how this situation pans out

I'd rather get Luis Garcia than Cisse. I think Luis Garcia and Aguero will combine really well.

torres is overrated, though if anyone can get him to live up to a fraction of the hype, it's benitez. man utd on the other hand doesn't need torres, they already have better options and torres would be far too expensive on top of that.

Torres is so good, why can't Spain do better in the world cup?? I think Spain in the Euro and World Cups might be the biggest sports disappointment in the history of sports...

Well using that Metric you could say, if Messi is so good why didn't Argentina win the WC; if Ronaldinho is so good why didn't Brazil win the WC; if Cristiano Ronaldo is so good.... well you get the idea.

Still, I think that Torres is overrated, he has everything - speed, size, strength, good skills - except for goals. He isn't a sniper like Eto'o or Henry and he doesn't have a nose for goals like Raul. He has always seemed to me like he should be so much better.

I hope i see Torres, Rooney, and Ronaldo all together. Manchester can offer up Saha or Rossi (or both) along with cash for torres, i think hes worth it. He like ronaldo is freakishly talented, hopefully he can live up to it like ronaldo did last year.
