Will Redskins fire Zorn?

The only real issue left in the Redskins' season with two games left: whether Jim Zorn keeps his job beyond 2008. Neither Daniel Snyder nor Vinny Cerrato seemed immediately interested in touching the vote-of-confidence issue after Sunday's loss, and who can blame them? Even if the owner or executive vice president for football operations sound off in support of the newbie position coach they gambled on last February to replace Joe Gibbs, they give the issue credence and drive the story. Saying "Jim is our guy" means they had doubt in the first place. And the truth is, they have no intention of looking for another coach after last offseason.

The fact that there is even talk about replacing Zorn after one year is a huge reason the Redskins cannot climb that hump and become an elite team. The front office is filled with a bunch of idiots.

They're stupid if they do.

I'm impressed with Jim Zorn.

If you remember the way that this coaching staff was built, it's surprising he was able to have any success at all. Snyder hires his offensive and defensive coordinator AND THEN looks for a head coach to plug in there. When he realized that no idiot would take a head coaching job that way, he was forced to promote Jim Zorn from O-coordinator.

The Redskins should give Zorn about two more years to build his own staff and put together a team that fits his coaching style.

dan snyder tends to over manage his team. pulling a coach after 1 year, its not a huge leap for synder to make that mistake. will just depends how missing the playoffs sets with synder in the off season.

You shold be happy, but a little concerned with the **** whooping they put on Romo. He's got to be hurting. Tough SOB I'll give him that. And he made a hell of a play swatting the ball he fumbled out of the end zone for a safety instead of a sure TD. Although, when he is backed up into his own end zone, he has a Dan Orlovsky-esque presence.

So...anyone want to talk about how TO got booed during intros and during the game?

December 15, 2008  08:15 AM ET

Don't fire Zorn, let him make some "second half adjustments" this off season and see what gives.....

Cory Procter should be running sprints around the city of Dallas today.

Jason Campbell will be the real victim here if they get rid of Zorn.

How many offensive coaches can one young QB be expected to go through? How is he ever going to be successful?

December 15, 2008  08:25 AM ET

The Redskins lost to the Bungles. BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

The Danny knows how to make money but he has no clue as to how to build a winning football team.

And during that 3rd down play that he missed...I didn't feel bad for him at the time, but afterward, during his press conference he looked so upset and so sad! I'm not kidding!! I thought he was going to cry when the reporters kept asking him about his turning on his teammates. His eyes were swelling up a little and he kept calling Ed Werder a liar

December 15, 2008  08:27 AM ET

Go ahead, fire him. He'll have a new head coaching job before the ink dries.

I'm sure there will be a T&R thread about that very topic in the very near future. After all, this is the "All TO All the Time" site for fans who care.

Get that Iraqi guy out of the hoosegow; we've got a job for him: throw some shoes at the real "genius" that has destroyed this once great franchise: Danny Boy Snyder.
