Forget the Delmon Young winter trade rumors. The Twins' plan now is to keep the left fielder at least into spring training.

Twins keeping fans interest...for now.........

In other words there are too many outfielders on the market and no one is biting.

Anything that comes out of the Pioneer Press is to be taken with a grain of salt, but I don't think the twins are even dumb enough to move Delmon, he's gonna be fine, they need to be talking about moving Cuddyer.

They talk about a surplus of OF'ers? Lets talk about the effin gaggle of Canadian Hockey idiots they have on that roster? It's abooooot time they trade some that dead weight.

I agree with THE TRUTH...move Cuddyer to the Braves or Mariners and get either Yunel Escobar or Adrian Beltre. It will take a little more than that to get those players but keeping Delmon Young would be in the Twins best interest.

As a White Sox fan this really saddens me....

In baseball terms this translates to: Twins waiting for Dunn, Burrel, and Abreu to be off of the market.

Quick and to the point.

Is this news!?

December 17, 2008  02:38 PM ET

Good grief, get while the getting is good on him. He may be fine, but with the overload of OF, a deal to get a "quality" IF on the left side or an OK setup guy. Who knows, they may still file for a bailout and try to scam MN for evern more money just like they did for the new stadium and the way the dropped 20MM off their payroll to make it look like when they up it to 65-70MM for the new stadium, it will look like their reinvesting.

that couldn't be more correct they god it sucks being a twins fan!

I will be the first to say that Delmon did not live up to expectations but I think he has a skill set that the twins need bad. A big right side bat, he hit a lot of dingers in the minors. That power will manifest itself soon "I hope"

December 17, 2008  05:27 PM ET

Yes, as a Twins I don't want to see Delmon go. He's only 23 and his potential is huge.

December 17, 2008  05:56 PM ET

lot of dingers in the minors doesnt translate to hitting dingers in the show... i forgot, when did he reach double digits in dingers?

December 17, 2008  07:36 PM ET

They'll trade me...they'll trade me not. They'll trade me...they'll trade me not. Sigh.

Hope the Sox get him. Hawk is in love with him :)
