Unhappy Jacobs wants to play

Brandon Jacobs may say he's going to play Sunday. He might even say he really really wants to play Sunday. But if the last week has taught him anything, it's that it doesn't matter what he thinks, says or wants. And that's not OK with the big guy. "They just told me no," he said of the decision that left him behind for the game against the Cowboys this past weekend, his face tensing up into an angry third-and-1 snarl. "I wasn't [OK with it]. Not at all. I wanted to get out and play." Jacobs aggravated an injury to his left knee the week before against the Eagles, an injury he first suffered earlier in the season. Last night, speaking at an autograph signing session at Last Licks on Manhattan's Upper East Side, Jacobs said he was ready to face the Cowboys and seemed not only disappointed but angry that he didn't get that chance. "I feel good," he said. "I've been feeling like this since Week 3. I've performed at a very high level since Week 3. Now, why sit down? I don't know. People have their own reasons." Tom Coughlin deferred to the medical staff when he declared Jacobs out against the Cowboys on Friday.

and what if the injury would have gotten worst or sidelined you for the rest of the year? Sit down take a break and get ready for the playoffs

The Giants are doing what is best for them this year. Jacobs wants to do what is best for him when FA comes around. Not playing affects the offers he will get. He wants to stay with the Giants, but he wants the market price for his service to be high.

Be smart, take your time. The Giants proved last year they could win on the road if they have to.

If history tells us anything, I don't think the Giants want to go this route. They need home field and they need him to get it.

Giants are being smart. Last week's game was not as important (from a playoff seeding perspective) as this week is.

Being a Panthers fan, I say if he's healthy-bench him. If he's still hurt let him play. It would be nice if Carolina could win out and get the home field advantage through the playoffs.

Sit your big As* down this week also or them Panthers
will bang you up good!

QUOTE(#13):

IF the giants get home field, they play the #2 wildcard which could be either the iggles or the cowboys....if the panthers get home field, the giants would be playing the #1 wildcard which could be Tampa or Atlanta....question is, who would they prefer to play and could they be trying to influence it by giving a win to a team to help their own chances...did letting dallas win increase the chances that they'll get to beat the cowboys in the first round?

Another dumb statement and comment.
