NASCAR replaces cancelled truck race
Economic hardship has forced Mansfield (Ohio) Motorsports Park to cancel its planned NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race next season, the organization announced Wednesday. The Mansfield race was originally scheduled May 23, 2009, and the raceway is offering refunds to fans who have already purchased tickets. NASCAR, however, has already replaced the Mansfield race with a new race at Iowa Speedway now scheduled for Sept. 5, 2009.

I believe it's only going to get worse for the truck series.

This is the best racing left. I would much rather watch trucks than teh Next smell cup races. These guys actually race and bump and wreck. Take money away from the other series and keep the trucks rolling.

Correct Hammered, I'm now looking forward to the season starter at The Devils Bowl, our local dirt track. 35th Annual O'Reilly Spring Nationals, march 9th!
Why fight the traffic anymore to the big track?
Local tracks have more excitement, feel free to walk in the pits, walk around the cars/drivers and actually talk to them! Great Popcorn, Great Racin, good times with Family and Friends, and I won't have to cut back on the Groceries for the week. OH, and If I miss a weekend, there is always next!

Bummed about Mansfield closing, really liked the track, but I'm excited also to see the trucks race at Iowa, should be a great race.
