Deion: Cowboys need drama

Troy Aikman never liked the circus atmosphere at Valley Ranch. As was often the case during their time together as teammates, Deion Sanders disagrees with Aikman. "You cannot have America's Team without having America's drama," Sanders said. "You have constant drama -- inside the locker room, outside the locker room. But you have consummate professionals who thrive on drama." Prime Time happens to be a confidante of two of the consummate professionals who seem to find themselves in the middle of controversy fairly often (Pacman Jones and T.O.).

Deion getting old looking. The Cowboys are just fine. And Deion he don't know too much. He could run and that led to his fun. And the preaching deal....pleeze.

Deion is right!! Old school Cowboy fans are use to the Drama!! 70's,80's,90's teams were full of drama!! All we are missing is JR Ewing, my bad we have J Jones!! Whooopee!!

December 19, 2008  07:16 AM ET

At this point, who cares!! Just win baby!!

December 19, 2008  07:43 AM ET

It's a little ridiculous to say that the Cowboys (or any team) needs the drama. The Patriots, Colts, Spurs, Bulls, Red Wings among others all seems to do just fine sans the circus.

T.O and Pacman consummate professionals?? I guess the definition has changed. These guys wouldn't know professionalism if it came up and bit them on the hind quarters.

Deion Sanders is an idiot.

Should be a fun last few weeks for the 'Boys. If Romo survives this week against a hard-hitting Ravens team, next Sunday will be lots of fun...for Giants fans anyway :-)

I totally agree..Although I would like to be waltzing into the playoffs with no worries or cares about Atlanta loosing, Tampa loosing and all the other million scenerios, this is kinda fun! Week to week nail biters...Plus, last year everything was handed to my Boys and look how well that turned out! I think it's been good for the Cowboys to have been knocked off their high horses this year. It's forced them to work!

Go Cowboys!

idiot is not a term that is used anymore. It is hurtful. In the future it would be greatly appreciated to refer to idiots by saying
" He processes differently"..as in" Deion processes differently"....His Mom..

Drama can be good and bad sometimes.

December 19, 2008  08:34 AM ET

Deion is not an idoiot. He is an utter and complete moron accented by the fact that he is an idiot.

December 19, 2008  08:37 AM ET

Team with T.O. have won exactly ZERO Super Bowls. I'll just leave it at that.....

December 19, 2008  08:37 AM ET

Sanders is a total idiot... he glorifies everything that you don't want in a NFL fan... anybody see the NFL Network pre-game show in Chicago when they had Gale sayers on???

Sayers said in response to what he thinks is wrong with the NFL today is that players celebrate wwaaayyyy too much - especially after the simplest things.... aguy makes a tackle and he celebrates etc...

Sayers said that in his day, they celebrated after the team won the game... and that's it...

Sanders clearly didn't agree and like what Sayers was saying... since this whole thingseemd to start with Sanders back in his day... and has eveolved into what it is today....

Sanders and his "look at me" attitude has caught on with average and/or mediocre players who have no right to celebrate simple aspects of the game... it ruins the game...

get lost Sanders... you were a great corner and return man, but don't encourage these other players... they nowhere approach yourt talent level and the act - which was exciting when you entered the league - has grown old and 'played'...

December 19, 2008  08:43 AM ET

Deion Sanders is a mouthpiece for the Dallas Cowboys so he has absolutely no credibility with me. Why he's even on that show is a mystery to me. Give me Warren Sapp and Marshall Faulk all day, you get honest feedback pro or con. Deion is the best cover cornerback I will ever see, but he really just needs to get a PR position with the Cowboys, because he offers nothing more than the company line.

what in the hell is Deion smoking!!!!
