Running back Sam McGuffie, who has left Michigan after one season, has visited Rice and spoke at length with Owls coach David Bailiff. McGuffie tells KRIV-TV in Houston he'll decide where he'll go "in the next couple of days" and says he wants to play close to his Texas home. He says he's considering Rice, Houston and Texas A&M. He says he visited Texas A&M on Wednesday and Rice Thursday.

I'm disappointed to see him go, but question his health? He had several concussions this year. Hard for a 180 lb rb to survive anywhere.

Rice would be a good school for him both football wise and academically. But having 3 concussions in a 4 month time span is something that could end his football career.

Go to Rice, always loved the way that school does things, and it seems to fit him.

When I first saw the McGuffie YouTube mix tape, I thought, that kid is going to get rocked once he runs against top notch defenses... he definitely has talent, but he needs to make it through a season healthy.

He should land somewhere - I'm sure any one of those three would grab him in an instant.

Oops, I somehow quoted something when I didn't want to.

With their talented QB, Baylor's looking to have a decent offense the next couple of years. Lightyears ahead of A&M. Maybe he should consider the Golden Bears.

Yeah Detroit is an awful sports town. Averaged a championship every 3 years in the past few decades, one of 2 sports cities to support all 4 sports in separate venues, consistently sells out almost every sporting event (besides Lions very recently) despite absolutely devastating economic circumstances.

I think your mom is ready to give you your massage. If you ever grow a pair and want to see true grit and hard work, come on over, otherwise, good luck with your basement accommodations...

First intelligent comment of yours all day. You realize you don't have the hard work and grit that it takes, and thus would have never gotten hired.

QUESTION: Is there an adult out there that would like to comment on this story? COMMENT: Good luck to this kid and his family. He did a pretty good number on ND when MU played them this year.

Note to Billy: it was cute the first time. Eight years ago. Leave well enough alone.

On the Sooner boards we actually laid odds out: 80% chance Sims would yell Boomer and 100% chance he'd find a way to embarrass himself.
