Eighteen teams have inquired about free-agent relief pitcher Joe Nelson, but the Indians are in Nelson's "Fave Four," said his agent, Doug Schaer. Nelson, who has experience as a closer, was a key setup man last year for the Florida Marlins. Nelson was 3-1 with a 2.00 ERA in 59 games.

Yawn, must be a slow newsday, 103 MLB innings since 2001. Yeah, he'll make a difference!

you never know what a change in venue can do, look at Gavin Floyd formerly stinking with the Phillies now doing well with the White Sox. Whats the reason for the low amount of work?

He's going to a city (Cleveland) whose major sports franchises haven't won a title for 44 years, that's a combined total of 132 losing seasons. I'm sure with Nelson averaging 35 innings a season, the Indians will give him a huge contract just like the Browns gave Donte Stallworth ( 7 yrs., $35 million). Stallworth's numbers this year, 9 games, 15 receptions, 154 yards. I look for the Indians to sign Nelson to a similar deal, the only difference of course is that baseball money is guaranteed.
