05:22 AM ET 12.20 | Knicks center Eddy Curry has been in street clothes for most of the season -- and it's been alleged that some of his wardrobe hasn't been paid for. A suit filed against Curry Wednesday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, says he racked up more than $41,000 at Casual Male Retail Group in 2006 and that the bill remains unpaid. Edward Margolis, the attorney representing Casual Male, told the Sun-Times, "It's just a matter of him buying clothing he didn't pay for." According to the Sun-Times, the suit says Curry purchased $22,000 in suits and $3,700 in ties, along with eight sweaters, including a $1,390 cashmere V-neck. The suit also says Curry owes the company an additional $5,424 in interest from his purchases. The clothing was purchased from Jared M. Custom Clothing, which is popular among pro athletes and once was owned by Casual Male, a retailer that caters to big and tall customers.

Pay up fat boy and get on the court soon so we can ship ur lazy arse to Larry Brown.

December 20, 2008  08:22 AM ET

Seems he's a slacker in all ways.

December 20, 2008  08:25 AM ET

clothing ?
- how about an article about what mysterious injury he has ?
or what his current training regimine is (no jokes please)
or what trades are in the works

December 20, 2008  09:35 AM ET

he had a choice pay off the clothing bill or pay off his twinkie debt.

Asking him to train is fair... but expecting a training regimen from him is asking for too much.

And ur right the Knicks have been vague about his injury - he has a knee injury and he is out indefinitely...**** does that mean? did a donut hit his knee? did he get hit by a train or bitten by a scorpion? Details please... anyone?

give the guy some fudge, he doesnt play ball anymore

December 20, 2008  11:46 AM ET

If this isi true then its pathetic. Its like if one if us blue colloar guys bought a $1 bottle of soda and didn't want to pay back the credit card company.

December 20, 2008  11:56 AM ET

The thread says this is a debt from '06. Curry probably doesn't want to pay 40 grand for suits he can't get his fat butt into anymore. He's still growing. He's got to have new suits now.

December 20, 2008  12:29 PM ET

what else could go wrong with that guy? i'm speechless

December 20, 2008  12:34 PM ET

You can't expect the man to dish out cash for a bunch of stuff that's lookin' so 2006! Hey, it's almost 2009 dawg, you gotta change with the times. That 2006 stuff is useless and you can't expect anyone to float a check for it now....

The man is an NBA player, and as such he needs to dress to a certain standard and that standard does not include a bunch of out of date c-rap from years ago.

Instead of playing little whiney games with lawyers, the fools at that clothing store should think about how lucky they were a guy of Curry's stature lowered himself to steal their stuff in the first place. In fact, when you think about it, they *really* owed him the clothes and in thanks for all the free advertising should be forwarding a *modern* wardrobe befitting an NBA SuperStar in 2009!

Along with an apology, of course...

Don't ever use the words super and star and Curry in the same sentence again... he will never be one.

December 20, 2008  04:34 PM ET

Curry may be on a team with a Super Star at some point because every team needs an over rated never was to stand behind the super star.

Wow, I managed to use Super Star twice in a sentance with Curry. I agree he will never be one, UNLESS, there is ever a Twinke Eating Championships, then it will be a good battle between a few Super Stars of that arena.

December 21, 2008  06:11 AM ET

Curry, you suck as a player and you suck as a man too... cheap ****!!

December 22, 2008  05:27 PM ET

Afew years ago, this guy barely had a pot to piss in. and now he's unnecessarily racking up five grand in interest!!?
