When does one sentence constitute a story? Guess it speaks volumes about the literacy of the Herald's readers.

catch me up, whyd he get suspended?

December 21, 2008  11:11 AM ET

NO to UF!!!!!!!!

Go to LSU, they need QB play and with the heritage of Perriloux, he should fit in nicely.

Kid misses class multiple times, and knows if he misses another he will be suspended. Team rules. Misses another class anyway. Blames everybody but himself and may transfer. Typical whiny athlete that thinks he is much better than he truly is. Bet Miami will survive without him.

He needs to just **** and take his punishment like a man before he distracts the team with his BS..

if he stays, cool.. we need an experienced backup..

if not, good riddance.. im tired of the distractions and lack of leadership from this kid..

self-inflicted wounds these are..

O M G, i just read that hearld article:

A coach close to Auburn said the Tigers have interest in UM offensive coordinator Patrick Nix for the same position. Nix, who was passed over for the Auburn head coaching job, declined to comment.

PLEASE PLEASE PELASE TAKE HIM AUBURN.. IM BEGGING YOU.

Marve sounds a little like Steve Spurrier when he was quarterbacking the Gators in the 60s. Full of himself. But Spurrier was as good as he thought.

Not sure what he would gain by going to UF. Even if Tebow leaves, Gators need a back up for next year so since he would have to sit out 1 year he fills no need. By the time he can help, he will be 3rd string option. I would look else where, unless UF is really just looking for a pactice squad guy.

yea, thats the problem.. unless he goes to D1-AA or whatever its called now, hes going to have to sit a year whereever he goes.. and what team would guarantee a starting job to someone 2 years down the line? hes better off staying, and competing..

Thank you for the clarification. There are a few on the baseball threads that are on par with this sorry fellow. I miss the "U" being in the top five, I miss Notre Dame winning a bowl game played AFTER Christmas and as a Michigan fan I clearly lament the absence of football as I know it in Ann Arbor.

You are proof that my little quip is false and that there are intelligent people ALL OVER, I just like to throw a barb out every once in a while and see what I snag. ;p

Who cares let him go... I like the true freshman anyways over him.

December 21, 2008  01:46 PM ET

Marve is just a huge distraction anyways... he is decent but definitely not worth all the crap that he delivers. Move on...it is still Miami, im sure there are plenty of other guys who want to play

December 21, 2008  02:04 PM ET

I have to agree with my fellow Cane again if the whole matter of Marve of not doing what???s expected of him then he deserves to be punished. I can't be completely sure what he is doing wrong but it???s obvious that Randy needs to do better so this young guy understands that if he continues he won't need to transfer, he will just be kick out of school. The other point of Patrick Nix interviewing for the Auburn coach position that he didn't get and may leave for another then please Patrick run to your old alma mater. If he stays at Miami another year and with the talent we have and we don't win the ACC then it will be a failure. I do mean that the Offense has to improve. Then what I been saying will come true that Randy Shannon will get more criticized since he selected these coaches and at the end he has the sole responsibility. I am not worry with the defense; their skills will blossom even more next year. Yes we are at a point that we need to stop talking about a young player who just needs to focus. Go Canes!
