Browns looking to draft lineman

Yes, the Browns would like to upgrade the center and right tackle spots on the offensive line, where Hank Fraley and Kevin Shaffer have sometimes struggled. A young center could be drafted in the middle rounds. Despite the obvious decline of the offense, the line (and it looks terrible with Ken Dorsey playing) still has allowed the fifth-fewest sacks in the NFL. It's possible the Browns could add a guard and one day move Rex Hadnot to center. They believe they need another lineman, almost at any position but left tackle or left guard.

Our line really isn't playing all that bad. Some young talent would really help things along though. Not to mention dumping Shaffer's over priced contract.

We've learned the pain of miscalculating QB depth, not to mention the debacle that is Derek Anderson. Not to mention the struggles of "Drops" Edwards. I don't think he droped any against Cinci though, to his credit, but the Bengals hardly have a secondary worth mentioning.

This story might be enough to keep Andre Smith at Alabama for his senior year.

Which NFL team ISNT gonna suck if they get down to 3rd or 5th or 9th or wherever Dorsey was on the depth chart.

"Browns looking to draft lineman"

That's all? Me thinks they need to draft half a team at least!

Cleveland should trade Braylon Edwards so they can draft a receiver that can actually CATCH

December 22, 2008  04:16 PM ET

Hank Fraley definetly needs to be replaced. Fraley gets NO PUSH at the point of attack and needs a mauler type guard to help him with the nose takles in our division, that is why Ryan Tucker was sorely missed this season. Ke4vin Shaffer should move to Spain where the will appreciate his Ole style blocking.

there are a LOT of teams that have Linemen on their Christmas wishlist!

December 23, 2008  12:50 PM ET

If Chris Wells leaves the Buckeyes early, then that would be a great pick! If Wells stays then the Browns should consider drafting Crabtree and trading Braylon. Braylon would look a lot better in any other uniform when he drops his passes.

Oh, they have singled out their weakness...Now how about the other 52 roster spots

They should also think really hard about picking up some teeth, deodorant, and "class" for their fans!
