Hey smart move on this kids part going to a school that he will be able to play at right off instead of going to a school like Texas, TT, OU, OSU, and a few other where he will ride the bench for a year or 2

I was still there when he was hired. By all standards, he was an excessively large mammal at that time. Now he is indescribably pumpkinish, has an almost orange skin tone to boot. He can coach football though. New recruit sounds like a horse, good for KU!

Al-Terek McBurse is better. Opurum is a blocking fullback.

note to self, sweater vest even in black does not make me look skinnier.

Mangino is tragically obese. I wonder if his thyroid is shot to the point that even when he just looks at food, he puts on the pounds. Very, very sad situation is his waistline!

December 24, 2008  03:40 PM ET

why would he go to kansas instead of florida or the other top programs?

December 24, 2008  05:24 PM ET

i guess he has a much better chance of playing and doing great at kansas than elsewhere. besides, with the exception of texas and ok, there is no defense in the big12.

He could have used that same reasoning to go to UF. The only good defense he'd have to play would be Alabama.

He's a good fullback. Kansas did well here. Hopefully Tyler Gaffney will choose ND, although it looks like he will be playing for Stanford come next year.

Speaking of Notre Dame who the hell is responsible for putting them in a Bowl game with Hawaii, it was a total mismatch, College Football must go to a March Madness type playoff format or get rid of some these Bowl games.

He is to big to be a Cheese Burger I just eat one.But is a prime candidate to be drafted by Jenny Craig.

He can coach that's for sure... hope he doesn't pull a "majerus" though... not enough good coaches out there
