Close associates expect Miami's Robert Marve to transfer, but he hasn't requested his release, and there's always a chance he could change his mind. Expect news after the Emerald Bowl.

enough with this crap.

Example #100 of the modern day athlete. Your told your entire life you are the best and then at the first sign that you will have to earn something or work for it, you run away or bail.

I hope he does leave..I want Harris to be the QB anyway

December 24, 2008  11:31 AM ET

Good God... Pick a track and stay on it

December 24, 2008  11:42 AM ET

Great news, Jacory Harris is the better QB of the two anyway... From what I'm told, players like Harris more.

I saw this kid play in HS, and thought he would be a STUD in college. I never took into account how much of a head-case he is. I still feel like he has the tools to be an above-average college QB, but his time is running out.

December 24, 2008  01:05 PM ET

Well if he goes he'll not be wanted where he thinks they will want him like UF better for him to go to a FCS school and hone his skills he;s a bust in D1A

December 24, 2008  01:30 PM ET

Marve is transfering, great news. Now if we could just get the offensive coordinator and the defensive coordinator to do the same, the Canes might just get back on track.

I agree with Sethgator enough of this. Its in Marve best interest to stay. He just needs to get focus on what is expected from himself and his team. Another good point that the Canes Coordinators need to do better because after three years there won't be any more excuses. If Randy wants to secure his job, he needs do bettter not just in recruiting. Yes we got better with 2 more wins than last year but we the "Cane Nation" are not satisfy with that. If you are, your not a Cane Fan and maybe we can meet in Miami over a beer and you can tell me how you disagree. Go Canes!

blah

December 24, 2008  03:30 PM ET

why would he want to stay at miami where he is being suspended constantly?

December 24, 2008  03:41 PM ET

Go to Florida, he will actually win games against good teams there and he'll actually get recognized

December 24, 2008  04:33 PM ET

the jack **** just has to go to class and he won't get suspended. it's going to be the same no matter what school he goes to.

prima donna's are ruining the sports world

follow the rules and this wont happen...

his nickname around here is "Bobby Drama"

December 24, 2008  06:03 PM ET

he should transfer to the big12 where he can be "all world". he will get exposed in the sec the same way if not worse than the acc

December 24, 2008  07:10 PM ET

if they let him have the job back after all the drama hes causing then shannon, contrary to the words of words of dennis green, ISNT WHO I THOUGHT HE WAS.

seriously though, it sounds like harris is a great talent and isnt a problem child like marve is, and even if marve is a little better talent wise (and im not saying he is) the fact that harris isnt a cancer more than makes up for the fact.

December 24, 2008  07:12 PM ET

and its too bad miami couldnt have fired their coodrinators and brought in the kiffins for offense and defense...then it would be game over.

i assure you that if Marve comes back, he will have to look like the second coming of Vinny T, Gino toretta, or Ken Dorsey in order to get the starting job back... I'm sure hes earned himself a trip to Randy Shannons dog house (and you DEFINITELY dont want to be there)

December 25, 2008  08:30 AM ET

He needs to transfer to the Air Force Academy. His 80 passing yards per game will make him a GOD there.

Nothing like another story about a player from "the U"...and "bail"...and "run away"...
