08:38 AM ET 12.27 | Coach Romeo Crennel has talked to Browns owner Randy Lerner and has been assured that he'll have a chance to meet with him next week. It means Crennel will most likely not be fired Sunday night after the season finale in Pittsburgh and that he might still meet with the media for his postseason news conference Monday. "His [Lerner's] schedule varies a little bit, so I'm looking at sometime next week," Crennel said. Crennel already has said he'll try to state his case for keeping his job. One thing he'll cite is the victory over the Giants.

"Romeo, Romeo, Wherefore art thou Romeo?"

Not in Cleveland for much longer.

December 27, 2008  09:42 AM ET

I don't know if anyone could have made a winner out of the Browns this season.

December 27, 2008  10:51 AM ET

Good riddance. Hopefully this meeting is to discuss if he wants his remaining pay checks in bus tickets and gift cards to Dunkin Donuts.

out of the couple of games i was forced to watch, i noticed a bad head coach. the use of timeouts, play calling etc... he needs to be out and it seems to me that maybe "the hoodie" was prolly more of the reason for his success.

December 27, 2008  11:29 AM ET

He's done. Go file for unemployment, Crennel.

Wherefore means why, not where.

Romeo, start packing. I smell toast.

You are correct with that. There's so may jobs for Romeo out there. Teams wont blame him 4 that crap in CLE. They'll acknowledge how it went with his defense on Route 1!!!!!!

December 27, 2008  04:16 PM ET

assuming it was just a courteousity meeting letting crennel to get his resume in order

December 27, 2008  06:25 PM ET

Don't go to that meeting Romeo, whatever you do, just don't go...Make him text you. Better yet, have him meet you in the locker room where all the players got sick and made it tough to win there...
