Buckeyes' Crater to transfer
Three games after losing starting forward David Lighty to a broken foot, Ohio State's depth suffered another blow today with the announcement that backup point guard Anthony Crater is transferring. Crater played 12 minutes in Saturday's loss to West Virginia and was averaging 13 minutes and 1.2 points in Ohio State's 9-1 start. While those are not huge numbers, Crater was a regular member of what basically has become a seven-man rotation since Lighty's injury. OSU coach Thad Matta has been playing Evan Turner, Jon Diebler and William Buford at the wings for almost entire games, rotating B.J. Mullens and Dallas Lauderdale in the middle and using Crater to spell junior college transfer Jeremie Simmons at the point. Crater was a major get, ranked as the No. 24 junior in the country at the time of his verbal commitment in November of 2006, when he chose the Buckeyes over Florida, Illinois, Kansas and Arizona.

Was he much of a factor? Glad to see WVU ream OSU in the buckhole. I hope UM does to OSU as it did to UCLA and Duke. Columbus is like Gaza. It needs to be bombed.

At least Gaza has some culture. Columbus sucks.
I dont get why this kid wants to transfer...seems like he is just starting to get pt and now he wants to sit out a year? I thought OSU might have had a slim shot at the big ten but you can forget it without a point guard.
I am really curious what this kid is going to do now, mine as well go play in europe(if he is good enough).

Well Warden, you are always colorful and assinine. Keep up the good work and one day UM will be a major college again in sports and maybe Ann Arbor can be called a town when it grows up and begins to take some responsibility in the Big 10(11) family.

Warden you must of forgot the Buckeyes defeated #22 Miami (FL) and #4 Notre Dame a few weeks ago both ranked teams; so I'd say we've also done quite well for the Big Ten (11) This is a young team and we have alot of growing up to do and that was evident the other day. No way we should have been ranked as high as we were. We have another point guard in P.J. Hill who is not terrible and Turner can bring the ball up the court if the need arises; Crater IS a gifted player and maybe he will reach his potential at another school. It is hard to argue with Coach Matta's record and achivements in D-1 hoops. He is a winner and he knows what to do with his players (besides Dequane Cook who should have started in my opinion). To Mr. Crater I wish him and his family the best. Go Bucks!

You Michigan fans are so bitter.
A first grade teacher tells her class she is a Michigan Wolverine. Then asks ???who else is a wolverine???? All hands go up except one boy!
Asked why he decided to be different, the boy said he was not a wolverine! What are you then? I am a proud Buckeye just like my Mom and Dad! The teacher became quite angry.
What if your Mother and Dad were morons, what would you be ? The boy paused and with a smile said ??? Then I ???d be a Wolverine!???

"Michigan football is a joke" .. damn - I've been waiting to hear that for years and we're going on quite a few years right about now! Oh life is good! It must really suck to be non-existent in any football talk ... expectations, anything to look forward to, etc etc - maybe next year they'll finish .500 and be invited to the Barack Obama Insight Tangerine Bowl!
