ASU crossing fingers on top recruits

The first of several high profile decisions is expected to come at the Under Armour All-America game Sunday in Orlando. Defensive tackle Corey Adams of Scottsdale Saguaro High School is expected to make his commitment during that nationally televised game. ASU continues to work hard on landing Adams and defensive end Devon Kennard of Phoenix Desert Vista. Kennard is on the West roster for the U.S. Army All-American game, Saturday in San Antonio (10 a.m./Channel 12) but unable to play due to injury. Some believe Adams is choosing between ASU and Southern California although Ohio State remains on is on his list. Kennard, in the end, might pick between ASU and California although USC and Texas are in the picture. The Sun Devils keep pitching the prospect of what they could accomplish together at their hometown school. Other high profile players still in ASU's sights include linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who is commited to signing with USC on Feb. 4 but being encouraged to join his Corona (Calif.) Centennial teammates in Tempe. Linebackers Brandon Magee and Shelly Lyons from Corona Centennial played at ASU as true freshmen and defensive tackle William Sutton is a current commitment.

Go ahead kid... Stay home and do what Erickson has done for the last couple of years there... Underachieve... And in 4 years when SC is still sending backups to the pros.... You may be crossing your fingers for a free-agent contract

I'm actually interested in the Holiday bowl tonight. I just hope it won't be a 1st 1/2 borefest like the Mizzou/NW game. What was it - like 10 - 10 at 1/2 time? I almost dislocated my jaw yawning at that. I woke up in the 2nd 1/2.

I'm hoping for a good shootout, but methinks Orrygon has something up it's sleeve for the Gundinator.

ASU. One good season last year and proceeds back to bottom half of the Pac-10. That's really enticing for these top recruits. Remember what Ericksoin did for the SF 49ers. Same results.
