Will regrets keep Beanie a Buckeye?
Beanie Wells has regrets. But I would be stunned if they're strong enough to keep him from leaving for the NFL. "It's not really big enough for my satisfaction yet," Wells said of his Ohio State legacy, speaking Thursday at length about his unmade NFL decision. "I have so many more things I would like to accomplish. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen. But don't read that as Wells is staying. On one hand, he said helping his family, which includes 11 brothers and sisters, isn't a pressing need. On the other hand, he said this decision isn't just about him, but about his family, too. He said he was surprised by coach Jim Tressel's comment that he would leave if he were Wells. He said what happens in Monday's Fiesta Bowl won't affect his decision, and neither will the fact that so many OSU seniors came back for this season. Wells was quick to note that if he does leave, he wanted Ohio State fans to know that because of injuries they have never seen him at his best. What was the closest?

no need sticking around, he's already been injured this year so why come back and win 8-9 games and risk another injury? pryor and OSU will not be winning anything anytime soon, heck i dont even see them beating TX in a couple of days. he's as good as gone if he knows whats good for him.

As a fan of the big ten, I hope he comes back, but you can't fault him no matter what his decisions. He has certainly earned the right to move on, and has had enough scares with injuries.
I had to laugh while watching the Rose Bowl yesterday and the announcers (including Kirk?) who couldn't stop gushing about how good USC was. Then they flashed a graphic up about how many players from USC will be drafted and how high they would be drafted, only one player in Johnsons projected first round. I laugh because Ohio State will almost certainly have 3 players in the top 20, and this consistency of building real men has been there for a while...
Hey USC, when your ready to stop playing home games against the second ( the past few years) best team in the Big Ten, let us know. On second thought, I hope Wells comes back only to beat USC in Columbus next year.

Beanie is a great talent but I think it's time for him to go and find out what it's like to get injured in the NFL. But his decision will be determined how he does against Texas. And of course, I hope TEXAS gores OSU and humiliates the sucknuts once again. You can see what Texas will do here

As a Buckeye fan I would love to see Wells stay. But I am a realist. Wells should go to the NFL. One more year is not going to raise his stock and if a major injury occurs it will lower his stock. Plus a running backs lifespan in the NFL is short as it is. One more year on the front end of his NFL career just helps the pocket book that much more.

As a fan of the lil' 10,...you've got to be kidding!??? That conference stinks. After Texas busts OSU's arse, the conference will be 1-6. Some power conference, NOT! The PAC 10 is 5-0 and SC could, contingent upon Sanchez coming out, have two players drafted in the first round (Maualuga). Remember, where you are drafted only matters financially, it doesn't guarantee that the said player will go on to a stellar, all-pro career. I mean, with all of the undrafted free agents making names for themselves in the NFL, please...

This kid is overrated. He should go now, while so many people seem to buy into his hype. Seriously, it was almost comical how fast his season evaporated into excuses.

Yawn-
bottom line is if you are a RB and are a lock to be drafted- you GO ASAP
- your life as a RB isn't that long and there's no reason to jeopardise whatever earning potential you may have.
I personally don't see him as anything that special- but he certainly can succeed if he's drafted onto the right team

A couple of points:
1. Big Ten is 10-9 vs the SEC since 2002. Besides normal fans root for teams not conferences. True Ohio St fans would never root for Michigan in any game. I don't care who they were playing.
2. You must be an idiot b/c USC will have more than 2 players drafted in the 1st round (Maualuga, Cushing, Mays, Ellision) just to name a few
3. Ohio St will have at least 3 in the 1st round as well. (Laurenitis, Jenskins, & Wells if he declares

I'm no idiot, but I did forget about Mays. He like Sanchez, may or may not come out. Cushing's got the talent, but I don't know if he'll go in the first round. Ellison won't, that's for sure. You must be the idiot, because that's the point I was making to biminator. I only listed the probable bowl record of the Big 10, since he was such a fan. READ, please.

Florida State isn't even ranked in the Top 25, so how are we "overrated"?
The fact that FSU isn't ranked renders your comment nonsensical. I realize you were simply lashing out, but try to think it through before you post.
Maybe something like, "...well, he's better than any running back on FSU's roster..." You see? Now you'd have something to work with. Don't get discouraged over this though, you keep right on trying, O.K.?

To your first point, so what? You followed it up with my argument. Shut up about your conference.
You are right about Mays and Maualuga. Cushing and Ellison won't go that high.
Laurinitis won't be a first round pick. Jenkins might be a first round pick. Wells will not be a first round pick. Not a chance. Injury prone, attitude, slow, etc. Most teams are set at running back. They are not going to risk first round money on a broke-dick slow running back who underachieved two years in a row.

Are you kidding? Wells has been a little fragile, but so was AP in college. Wells also has no attitude problem and runs a sub 4.4, he's by far the best back in the draft if he decides to turn pro.

The best back in the draft? That's a joke, right? If he comes out, he won't even be the best back from HIS CONFERENCE in the draft.
And "a little fragile"? Another joke, perhaps? He's going to sustain an injury just from the hits he's taking on this thread.

Its obvious you know a lot about football, considering the only back you could even think about being better than wells from the Big 10 is Ringer and that simply is not true. Climb back into your cave troll. Stating opinions as facts makes you sounds stupid.

Let's get back on topic here... Beanie needs to come out... He can only hurt himself by coming back to play one more year in college... And btw... SC will have 3 first round picks this year... 4 in Sanchez comes out
