The Marlins made it very clear to the inquiring Red Sox that Hanley Ramirez was not available. According to a source familiar with the talks, the Sox were quickly rebuffed and word is there was never mention of players the Red Sox could offer to entice the Marlins.

I would say the Marlins were asking for a buttload of talent.

If Ramirez is their 1 super star why would they want to get rid of him. He's a kind of guy you need to build your team around.

The Marlins will trade anyone if they can get a lot for him. Ask Miggy Cabrera.

Thank goodness. I have Hanley Ramirez in my N.L. only fantasy baseball league. It would have killed my team to lose him.
