07:19 AM ET 06.27 | Shea Hillenbrand wants out. Not because of the organization, the manager, the city, the stadium, the fans, the weather, his teammates -- all are top notch, the Angels' deposed designated hitter said. It's the situation. The New Yankees expressed interest in Hillenbrand a few weeks ago, but then Casey Kotchman suffered a concussion, Garret Anderson aggravated his hip injury, and trade talks were tabled.

Ahhh, it must be Summertime, Shea Hillenbrand is whining....all is right with the world.

June 27, 2007  09:41 AM ET

This guy is a jerk. he got kicked out of Toronto because of similar antics. he deserves to be in the unemployment line.

June 27, 2007  09:46 AM ET

"ship is sinking"

June 27, 2007  09:54 AM ET

I really hate this guy. I hope the Yanks don't pick him up like I have heard. Oh...god, that would be awful.

June 27, 2007  10:11 AM ET

I new he was a punk! go a ahead leave, in fact be a man, and quit right now and don't wait to see who picks up your sorry ****.

June 27, 2007  10:32 AM ET

He has whined on every team he has played for

June 27, 2007  10:49 AM ET

What situation? The chance to possibly win a ring? I thought that was the whole goal of playing. This guy clearly doesn't appreciate what he does for a living, and that is sad.

June 27, 2007  12:11 PM ET

Who is that guy?

June 27, 2007  12:20 PM ET

he doesn't play in L.A.....i'm confused

June 27, 2007  12:23 PM ET

Yes he does, he plays for the Los Angeles Angels, you know the one who kicked the Los Angeles Dodgers butt! 5 out of 6

June 27, 2007  12:33 PM ET

Plus, I think the Angels need to trade him because when Juan Rivera comes back they will have to cut him anyway.

June 27, 2007  12:50 PM ET

Never thought I would say this, but I'm am GLAD the red sox traded him, even if it was for B.H. Kim!

June 27, 2007  01:57 PM ET

Tells you about his priorities...to be part of a team that has great chance for a ring or just concerned about his own selfish plans of getting more playing time? Note to Shea - if you wouldn't have sucked so bad the first half you would be playing more. Please just go!

June 27, 2007  02:14 PM ET

Hillenbrand is a crybaby, now and when he was with the D'backs. He never knew when he had it good, which he does now.

June 27, 2007  02:15 PM ET

Didn't like him when the Angels signed him, has not lived up to the hype that brought him here. What is he hitting, .219 or something like that. I think it is money wasted, and where else better than the wonderful Skankees!! As they say in Texas----C-ya!!!!

As an Angels Fan, I wanted him out of there when the signed him. Please get him out. Trade for a one armed chimp no loss in productivity

June 27, 2007  02:30 PM ET

No let him stay and cause more disruption this will be good for the A's maybe now we will be able to catch up in the standings

June 27, 2007  02:44 PM ET

My Angels will win the World Series with or without him...trade him to NY...final nail in the coffin for the Yanks.

A's? Please, You're not going to catch us...nobody can beat us...except...the Royals? Dang.

June 27, 2007  02:50 PM ET

He belongs with the Yankees - he would fit right in with the rest of the over paid, do nothing cry babies on the team. He could be A-rod's roommate on the road.
