Pacman: 'I might be back in Dallas'

Adam "Pacman" Jones suggested Saturday his days with the Dallas Cowboys may not be over. In an interview on CBS' NFL pregame show, the oft-troubled cornerback said that not only does he expect to play football next season, "I think I might be back in Dallas." Host James Brown then asked: "And you have an inkling that Jerry Jones will give you another shot?" Jones grinned and said, "Yeah, I do," but didn't offer any details to back his assertion. Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple said the team had no comment.

That was a painful interview to watch. Pacman looked stoned...had his head tilted back and his eyes barely open. And I think he needs remedial english classes.

double j might sign him again, for a lot less cheddar tho.

January 11, 2009  08:15 AM ET

Stoned... or arrogant? I thought the latter.

Why would JJ entertain the idea of signing this fool again? In 2008 the risk was high and the reward was nil.....he contributed nothing. Even at a lower price this clown isn't worth the headache.

is pacman really worth the trouble?

Resign, forget it. To squander an opportunity to play in the NFL and to possess the athletic skills of this caliber. What an idiot. He had his opportunity, its time to give this space to someone who wants it. Arrogance is the only explanation I can come up with.

January 11, 2009  09:30 AM ET

Jerk. Give his roster spot to some who know "there aint to I in T E A M".

January 11, 2009  09:32 AM ET

Sure, but as the defendant.

January 11, 2009  10:17 AM ET

If it makes no sense, then Jerry will do it.

January 11, 2009  10:31 AM ET

Why is this jerk still arrogant? As long as he's out of the NFL, the money trucks stop coming to his house.

January 11, 2009  10:32 AM ET

That interview was the first time I heard Pacman speak and I gotta say he sounded like a cross between Cosby kid Mushmouth and King of the Hill character Boomhauer. As for coming back to Dallas as a player.........thanks for the laugh, Pacman, not even your lawyer sees that happening.

January 11, 2009  10:43 AM ET

NFL and NBA are both full of idiot's like him.

January 11, 2009  11:10 AM ET

We are receiving our draft picks back in Dallas for the Pac Man trade, so I doubt he'll be suiting up in Dallas. Wish they could have the same deal on the Roy Williams trade.

Well, football has gotten him out of every mess he's ever been in. All through high school, into college, and well into the pros, you gotta wonder how much more junk he's done and had it covered up because some coach wants to keep him on the team. So, given that, no wonder he thinks football will get him out of this one too. Hasn't it always?
