Blues' Tkachuk to Bruins?
Keith Tkachuk, who will turn 37 March 28, still has a little bit of touch (14 goals and 27 points) in those meaty hands (now 514 career goals and counting). He is finishing up a two-year deal with the Blues, with a cap hit of $4 million, and certainly will be moved at the deadline with the Blues able to trim some $800,000 in cap exposure. Easy financial fit for the Bruins if both Patrice Bergeron and Marco Sturm are off the books. Tkachuk can play both wing and center, and would offer great depth on the power play.

Bergeron is probably coming back so this isn't realistic. A great idea, but not happening.

The B's don't need Tkachuk. The B's should be going after someone like Bouwmeester to sure up the defensive core. Wheeler, Kessel, Rider, Savard & Krejci are all scoring. Lucic being healthy is paramount.

Though a great talent, Patrice looks like he will be snake bitten for his entire career. I'm not saying Tkachuk is the move but maybe its time to send the kid away. Any knock in the head from this point forward will land him on IR. Sturm, who is also very good, might be in the same boat.

Too early to speculate where Keith will go. Injuries to a team's top players can change a team's need in a heartbeat.

as much as I loathe the boston bruins I can also admit that if there is one team that does not need to make any sort of move it is the boston bruins. they are deep and talented at every single position. they really really don`t need keith tkachuk.

I guess it would be good to have him around, as long as it was a lesser role. But I agree with BauerStar33 in getting boumeester would be much more exciting and beneficial.

Are you reading this rings and did I tell you this after 3 weeks into season. and for you guys who say Bruins do not need Tkachuk do not know much about NHL playoffs. and their defense is solid why do they need a defenseman Wideman is a stud.Chara is awesome and Ferrance is coming back who was their best defenseman before he got hurt. to go along with veterans Ward & Knighty if anything they are gonna trade a defenseman. lets do this idots who say they don't need a forward 1stline Kessel, Savard, Lucic, 2nd Krejci, Wheeler, Ryder, 3rd line Bergeron, Tkachuk, Alexelson, 4th line Yelle, thorton, Kobasew, now thats a cup team, they will be 3 deep and a solid 4th thats why detroit is so good every year. and if Bergeron can't come back they really need another forward but he will be back but losing Sturm who was their leading goal scorer last yr will hurt in playoffs.

Pens could use a little bit of veteran leadership and scoring right now, not sure who is left to get rid of.

Are you kidding me? What do the Bruins want with him? Are they trying to mess the beautiful chemistry they have going? They're piping hot and .... they want to stay that way!

looks good on paper. But the Bruins are doing really good as a team are deep and healthy soon. Team chemistry is there.

Its obvious you do not watch the Bruins yea they are winning but they have been getting outplayed as the injuries are starting to take its toll, and good teams will stop their big line if Bergeron don't come back they need another good veteran forward who can put the puck in the net, its a must for playoff run.

Another one who makes comments and don't know whats going on Healthy they just lost 1 of their top 6 forwards for the season and their best all around center has concussion problems and you need insurance for that. WHAT HEALTHY ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. 2 of their top 6 forwards are hurt and possilbly for season as you do not know about Bergeron I solid hit to head and its over.

Tkachuk's been great this year, and if this deal goes down, it will help Boston.

You take it easy, football fan!
If you'd read the latest reports instead of watching the NFL version of Miracle as the Cardinals won a game they shouldn't have, you'd know Bergeron skated with the team earlier this week. Plus, you can't replace a speedy playmaking center like BErgeron with a positional winger like Shanny without disrupting the lines on a team that has good chemistry and plays as almost as well as they could. Julien is probably asking Bergeron to take it easy like last year where he would only have made him play if they could push harder for a playof spot.

I meant Tkachuck, not Shanny. Hard too work on 2 posts at a time at my age...

Thanks for the lecture football fan. But, as hard as this may be for you to fathom, some of us "uninformed" hockey fans are quite capable of figuring out that the Bruins (as much as I hate to admit it) are the hotest team in the NHL! In spite of their injuries (which every team has and has to play through) they keep winning! Good teams find a way and the Bruins (aaaaagh!) are a very good team. BTW, since you seem so hot on Tkachuk, tell me, what team has he ever led to the Stanley Cup finals? And, how many SC rings does he have? He's a cantankerous older guy, past his prime, who's got a rep of not getting along with team mates. Not good for Bruins chemistry! But that's only my uninformed opinion, Mr. Football Fan!

Tkachuk's style would be great for the Bruins in a playoff run. He still hits hard and creates havoc in front of the net.
