Jacobs: Plaxico kept us from Super Bowl

06:10 AM ET 01.30 | If Plaxico Burress had not screwed up, the Giants would be here and on Sunday they'd capture their second consecutive Super Bowl title: Though some suggest that might have taken place, Brandon Jacobs, proclaims it as gospel. "If we have Plax on our team, we go 15-1 and we win the Super Bowl," Jacobs said yesterday. "I'm not afraid to say that and I'll say it to anybody on any team." Much has to happen to make a return by Burress to the Giants anything but a remote possibility. Jacobs said he speaks and exchanges text messages with Burress "every other day" and he senses a new man.
