Penn State, Rutgers chasing recruit

07:39 AM ET 01.30 | Justin Brown has decided to wait until signing day to make his final decision between Penn State and Rutgers. According to Bill Kurelic, "Coach Vanderlinden came out here on Monday," Brown said. "Coach (Joe) Paterno hasn't been out. He hasn't been able to because of his hip surgery." Rutgers coach Greg Schiano has made his home visit. This has sparked some interesting debate among Penn State fans . . . There seems to be some incongruence between what Brown was told (Coach Paterno couldn't visit because of his hip) and what Coach Paterno is doing. Paterno was at the Rose Bowl, albeit not on the sidelines. Certainly a lot longer and strenuous trip than a jaunt to Delaware. According to the USA Today, Paterno also attended a convention in Tennessee: Paterno, who said he feels "great" after recent hip surgery and would like to make home recruiting visits, last month received a three-year contract extension.
