Greenwood High defensive end Sam Montgomery, The Observer's No.2 prospect in the state of South Carolina, has trimmed his list, according to two sources. He has narrowed the schools he's considering to North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and LSU. No longer in the picture are Clemson and Michigan.

I bet its Tenn or NC. Tenn could have a very good day...

It's good that the kid has brains enough not to go to that sink hole of despair that is Michigan. They SUCK.

Yeah, being part of the winningest program in NCAA would really be a drag.

I am just waiting untell the whole team walks off on RR.

February 4, 2009  11:23 AM ET

"untell" haha are you serious? hahaha

February 4, 2009  02:27 PM ET

Notre Dame and Michigan are two of the winningest programs in CFB history, but they lose any time they play a team that's halfway decent in the modern era. That's why people ask, "Who would want to play at Michigan".

And Michigan loses to teams that AREN'T even halfway decent.

Too bad for thunderdragon, even if it happens, he would never hear about it, since the whole incident would go untelled.

Dude you must be like 12 or 13 if your memory is that short. "they lose any time they play a team thats halfway decent in the modern ara..???" Who beat Florida in Florida when UM was deemed too big and slow and OSU toyboy Kirk Herbstreit said "Florda's speed versus Michigan is probably the biggest mismatch of the year." How'd that turn out? You Sandy, are a fool and know nothing about college football.

While I agree that only a fool would take Florida over Michigan, you have to remember that that was the Crapital One bowl, where loser teams like those two belong. Although, you're not arguing my point. You're talking about the Carr Era, not the DickRod Era. And DickRod can't even beat Toledo, so that's "THE MODERN ERA" of Michigan Football. And judging from signing day, things won't be changing in Michigan for a long long time. Luckily Michigoons are more concerned with where their next hot meal is coming from rather than their football teams sucking.

Dude, you are truly an idiot. I guess when you live in your parents' basement you don't have to worry about where your next meal comes from.

How many times has Florida beat Michigan in the last 3 years?

I guess that's what you're missing.

Michigan football is dead.

Ha! Nice gang up on Sandypants. He was truly mentally challenged. If hes a USC fan hes really dumb because they were terrible for a long stretch there back in the day.

February 5, 2009  03:10 AM ET

It's hard to have a debate with a gang of **** since you all jump on a different part of the other ****'s argument.

The point of my first post was, outside of Florida, Michigan hasn't beaten a good team in at least 5 years. How hard is it to go undefeated against a bunch of jabronies like Appalachian St., Toledo, and the Big-10 and then get pasted by USC in your bowl? Not very difficult. Now that's Michigan tradition, morons.

I'd trade that schedule for one in a pac 10 and an annual home game as a bowl game...

February 5, 2009  11:48 AM ET

Yeah no kidding on the USC home game in the Rose Bowl. Plus Sandy, if you really mean the "modern" michigan with richrod, its been one season dude... Either way your an idiot for judging a program in one year, now your saying 5 year span? You need to go to school bro and get educated.
