In the Bobcats locker room before the game, Vladimir Radmanovic made it clear he welcomed the trade because he felt so under-utlized playing for Lakers coach Phil Jackson. "Here I'll do what I do best. Being a Laker was a great experience, but it was also frustrating not knowing when and how I'd play,'' Radmanovic told the Observer. "Phil's system, great as it is, doesn't give a role player much opportunity. For Kobe Bryant, it's great. For Pau Gasol, it's great. But role players don't do much.'' Radmanovic says he's equally comfortable playing power or small forward.

Damn fannation y'all still can't find a pic of Vlad ???

February 9, 2009  07:05 AM ET

Anyhow I'd be willing to bet tha Lakers are even happier than you about you being gone...

February 9, 2009  08:13 AM ET

I guess he does not know about Larry Brown.

February 9, 2009  08:38 AM ET

If Vlad would have played a little bit more defense and passed the ball a little more on the offensive end instead of jacking up shots, he would have kept his starting spot. Luke simply plays the triangle better and while he can't hit the side of a barn, he does play solid defense.

He might be right that's why he is only a role player. If you are not happy about your role then it's time for you to move on. It's a good thing the Lakers got rid of him. He has never shown any consistency on the Lakers anyways even if he started. He had his opportunities but did not take advantage of it. It does not matter what team you are in, you still have to show some professionalities on and off the court.

Unfortunately no one relaly cares about this trade, Bobcats are gonna still suck and Lakers got nothing they don't already have.

February 9, 2009  09:20 AM ET

Radi-gun is a straight up jackass, he went from another finals appearance to a non achieving team.
What a moron another mouthing off Euro!

February 9, 2009  09:26 AM ET

That tells you right there the type of player he is....
he'd rather be on one of the WORST teams in the league & play more than be on the best team and be a piece of the puzzle

February 9, 2009  09:32 AM ET

oooo burn.

February 9, 2009  09:54 AM ET

From a "role players" point of view, on a team less talented than the Lakers, he'll have the opportunity for more playing time and better numbers. This will re-enforce his bargaining position at contract time.

February 9, 2009  10:01 AM ET

Have fun in the backwoods, Vlade. Let's see if the Lakers vote to give you a share of their postseason bonuses. It will be the only playoff money you'll ever see.

Thats the point I was making before, do you see Larry Brown giving that type of player playing time.

February 9, 2009  10:11 AM ET

IMO, this trade was more of clearing some cap to keep Bynum and Odom than to actually load up on the PF position. It's time for the Lakers to develop a true SF who can shoot the 3 and play some defense.

February 9, 2009  10:17 AM ET

Meanwhile... IT'S LOVELY IN LAKERLAND!

(RJ is out sick today - hangover)

February 9, 2009  10:22 AM ET

well gosh vlad, you're 6-10 and all you do is shoot 3's...maybe if you were a little more rounded as a player, you'd get in the game..but i'm sure larry brown will give you lots of freedom to be yourself and not try to put you in a role that you don't like...just ask the other guys that've played for him...

February 9, 2009  10:24 AM ET

for some, really odd unexplainable reason, im excited for morrison lmao. vlad never fit in. i think if adam polished his game, with his height and his shooting touch, he can be a dirk nowitski- lite esque player

February 9, 2009  10:25 AM ET

Planning any ski trips soon Vlad????

February 9, 2009  10:26 AM ET

I'm much rather be on a contender and simply be a role player than a 20+ scorer on a rubbish team like the Bobcats.

February 9, 2009  10:26 AM ET

AND WHY CAN'T THEY GET THE RIGHT PICTURE?!
