07:36 AM ET 02.11 | Bryce Brown, the nation's top running back, will pick a school March 12, mentor Brian Butler said Tuesday. Butler said Miami has a very good chance among six finalists: UM, LSU, Tennessee, Oregon, USC and Kansas State. He will visit Tennessee on Feb. 14, and LSU, UM or USC on Feb. 28. But Butler said it doesn't matter whether Brown visits UM as ``he's been to Miami numerous times.''

Mr. Brown, see the file on T. Pryor. You are only making life hard for you by juggling schools, because when you do choose, the whole fanbase is going to expect you to be the second coming of Jesus. I hope Big Fat Butler, has warned you about this.

Be a man and make a commitment already.

I will pay 20 bucks to have some other school take this prima donna ... please DON'T come to the U we are sick of the drama and he has not even stepped foot on campus yet... Lamar Miller is just as good and has faced better comp in HS bet on that.

This guy is a joke. His "agent" is a joke as well. I hope he does go to the CFL. He isnt ready for any type of pro football. And, RB's are a dime a dozen in college football. I dont know why he thinks he is so great anyway. His team didnt even make the playoffs in high school this past season. Kid will probably wind up being a HUGE bust. What a loser.

I fear this will be a regular thing now, where the top recruit or the top two or three recruits all take longer to sign, just so they can get more exposure.

February 11, 2009  11:25 AM ET

I don't know the NCAA rules but I thought a High School athlete can't have an agent or have someone represent him on taking money to play in any sport, which is the last article I read. This guy Butler how did he get in the picture and what is he really a agent, a freind or now a mentor? I want him to play for the "U" but what is the hold up now that he has waited more than a month later after signing day. If he is not sure then wait to the last signing day in April but I think he already has an answer. The bad media and rival fans know that they would take this kid in a heart beat. He committed in February last year and he still is undecided, thats my problem.

I hope the NCAA keeps an eye on the schools and boosters for this one. Just a train wreck waiting to happen.

UNFORTUNATLY Miami is in a DOUBLE BIND w this kid...damned if we get him bc he'll be labled a trouble maker, big baby looking to only win individual awards, not team awards bla bla bla - and damned if Miami does NOT get him... however w a backfield w Cooper, James, Miller, Davis, Patrick Hill & others...i cant see how Miami can go wrong. - he has a BAD lable already, unfortunatly this recruiting drama will plague him for the next 2-4 years. GO CANES!

February 11, 2009  12:26 PM ET

I guess no one in the CFL bit on Butler's idea of having Brown go directly to the pros from high school. Enough drama. Pick a school and be done with it. You are not THAT special. And where ever you go, take Oku with you. I can't see either of you as team players.

what's up with orson charles, his #7 jersey is waiting in Gainesville.

Agree, Seth. Who cares about Brown. He's made this a circus. Orson Charles could be a HUGE impact to a team, early on.

Screw this kid. He's a clown. The only reason he's getting away with this because he conveniently threw the "I'm doing it for Jesus" angle in there. What a punk, yes, I know this is a big decision and I believe that any student athlete deserves as much time as he/she needs to make an informed and intelligent decision. However, this is veering into media circus territory and frankly the "U" has kids who are better and faced better competition. He's not the 2nd coming of Barry Sanders or Gale Sayers. We have Lamar Miller, and we have Jhakari Gore in the pipeline. Stay in Kansas Dorothty.

February 11, 2009  12:49 PM ET

Fact is that Florida, Cali and Texas players play against tougher competition each game. I'm not sold on these alleged "out of state" phenoms. Lock down Broward, Dade and take a few OOS guys. We damn sure don't need OOS RB's we get those by the dozen in the 305. Forget this guy, frankly I would hate, at this point, to have to cheer for this ****

Yeah, isn't it time to start talking about the 2010 recruits?
