Teams that might take Vick

04:47 AM ET 02.20 | What team will take on Michael Vick? The first idea that comes to mind would be teams with strong leadership at the top and that have a role for him, maybe outside of being a full-time quarterback. The Dolphins, with their "wildcat" formation and their development of the old single-wing formation make some sense. Bill Parcells can handle the media attention and help Vick get his career moving once again. So teams that have a role and a willingness to take a chance are at the top of the list. Dallas can expand its offense and make him a part of a form of "wildcat" and use him to help make some big plays. The key here is to understand that this Michael Vick will be humbled, he will be willing to play any role and willing to do whatever it takes to get back playing the sport he loves. So don't think in terms of a starting quarterback job; think in terms of coming in and helping a team and having someone in ownership or the head coach or GM chair who can help shield the media attention and allow Vick get back to football. I think St. Louis, which is in need of playmakers and knows what he can do because its GM, Billy Devanney, was with Vick in Atlanta and knows the player and the person, could be a landing spot. Tampa might make some sense, but from what I'm hearing, the Bucs are committed to drafting a quarterback and finally putting a face on their franchise. That doesn't bode well for Vick. Minnesota might make some sense, but it would have to have a specific plan on offense. Vick proved one thing in Atlanta, that he's not a west coast quarterback. The Raiders make some sense. They love speed, and Tom Cable knows Vick from his days in Atlanta. He could be a good change-of-pace quarterback and specialty player with JaMarcus Russell. Buffalo is at a crossroads at quarterback. The Bills need Trent Edwards to stay healthy and be the Trent Edwards of the first four weeks of the season. They have an owner who's not afraid to take chances and is willing to do what it takes to win. The 49ers, as mentioned above, seem to have no interest in Vick because of his off-the-field issues, which is easy to understand. But if the 49ers think they're going to win with Shawn Hill for the long term, they're mistaken.

Yah the only reason that Vick shouldn't be in the nfl is if he can't play, all the rest is fecal matter from a member of the bovine genus

Does anyone know when he last threw a football? I'm sure he's been lifting weights in the yard, and staying in shape but still, when did he last take a snap?

Looks like the last game was week 16 in 2006. That is forever for a football player. He may want to consider something like the CFL, even though he would get picketed up in Canada too. I really don't think all those teams mentioned want to deal with the fallout of bringing Vick on board and alienating their fanbase.

Anyway, who is the "National Football Post". Sounds strangely similar to "New York Post", and is about as accurate.

He didn't throw much when he played for the Falcons...I doubt that will change now

Older stuff lasts longer than the crap we buy today. Hey, I'm considering one of those cheapo $299 laptops because all laptops won't last long anyway, so why spend a lot.

Yeah in the end any team that picks him up will either turn him into a RB or a WR IMO. If that doesn't work, they will most likely cut him since he has no real value anyways. Vick can't call the shots anymore, or make his moves for himself. Somebody has to lobby for him, and teams may not want him at QB and Vick doesn't have a say, and I love that! Some teams might be like, Look kid, bottom line, you suck at QB, try this, try that, oh well you suck at RB and WR too, wow kid you just suck at life huh. LOL

Yes. I've already admitted an FN addiction and lamented the lack of a 12-step program to combat it. Believe it or not, it was easier to quit smoking than to do without FN. HAha.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... what dummy wrote this? Ralph Wilson would NEVER sign Vick... he most certainly IS afraid to take chances, and definitely IS NOT willing to do what it takes to win. He spends "cash to the cap" so all the bonuses and what-not that other teams use to pay players more than the cap will allow... yeah, he doesn't do that. If the sum of all the players contracts, bonuses and performance incentives hit the salary cap, it's over. No more spending. Marv Levy also re-established the character expectancy of Bills players from his time coaching when he was the GM.... somehow I don't think Vick fits that mold, and now even Lynch is in question.....
