05:39 AM ET 02.25 | We're hearing that the new power structure in Cleveland -- the combination of coach Eric Mangini and G.M. George Kokinis to which folks around the league refer as "ManKok" -- isn't sold on Brady Quinn as the starting quarterback. One source with knowledge of the dynamics in Cleveland says that the new power structure there is "lukewarm" on Quinn. As a result, don't be surprised if the Browns opt to keep Derek Anderson, pay his $5 million roster bonus, and let Anderson and Quinn battle it out for the starting job. Here's the key -- neither Mangini nor Kokinis need to justify the decision to draft Quinn or to sign Anderson. The new coach and G.M. can focus on what's best for the team, regardless of whether the answer is Quinn or Anderson, or neither.

Just keep eating those protein bars Brady, you'll be okay...

Brady just can't seem to catch a break in the NFL. Well, he did collect some nice cash upfront for not doing anything except let a guy wiht no track record start in front of him.

Unfortunately for the Browns, they are stuck with Quinn for now... at least they didn't take with the third pick... :/

He'll be OK once he gets a steady shot at being the starter.

For his sake I hope it's with a better team then the browns!

At least Brady is sold on the idea of "ManKok".

ManKok fits perfect into/with Mangina!

Seems like the Browns can never make a good choice for any position. I wouldn't like to be a Browns fan right now. Rebuild everyother year. For a team that looked ready to turn the corner a couple years ago. What happened? You guy's were my underdog to take the Steelers in that division. Now the Steelers were given another title. One year to put the pieces in place and another to set it in motion and that's if Mangini doesn't get fired by 2011. Well, they did keep Cromell for a few years and he was the Pats waterboy. Andersen or Quinn? Quinns has the commercials and Andersen has the IR. How about Matt Hasselbeck or Cassel. Hasselbeck is more realilistic. Maybe Jeff Garcia, atleast you will make the playoffs. I wouldn't bet on Andersen or Quinn and I'm a betting man.

I still say Derek Anderson is the better quarterback by far.

February 25, 2009  08:02 AM ET

Mangini had the same approach in NY.

February 25, 2009  08:13 AM ET

I was never sold on Quinn from his time at Notre Dame... He never came thru under pressure when he had to win the game... I wish him well, but i just feel he's a good back-up at best... I hope he proves me wrong because he seems like a good guy...

Mankok??? That's just wrong..

February 25, 2009  08:18 AM ET

This team really knows what direction they want to go eh? They should of stayed away, to never return to cleveland.

I can hardly wait for the morning pre-game talk, "Terry, what's your take on Man-Kok?"

LMAO--------to freakin funny

Brady Quinn needs a chance to prove himself. Not sold on Derek Andersen.

Got him fired.

Get real. They're just blowin' smoke to pump up Anderson's trade value. Quinn's their guy.

February 25, 2009  08:43 AM ET

how could they be sold on someone whos played half a season? duh there not sold they've seen the dissapering act when it comes to QB's before

February 25, 2009  08:56 AM ET

neither quinn nor anderson can take this team anywhere. so serious thinking needs to be done over there. get beanie in the draft and that might help make either QB's job a bit easier. assuming beanie can stay healthy.

February 25, 2009  09:01 AM ET

AAHHH! Where did the Bar Raphaeli picture go??

February 25, 2009  09:06 AM ET

Brady Quinn needs time to develop more as a Pro and I'm not sure the Browns are the team to go through that developmental process. I'm not sold on him....YET. But then Mangini ain't no wiz coach either. Thats not to say Quinn couldn't make it as a Pro. We've seen wonderboys in college turn out to be busts in the NFL before. It just strikes me Quinn could develop and learn more under the guidance of truly gifted and proven QB.

shame because they have never had someone to throw under the wing and mold him into a pro QB. I guess they will just throw him to the wolves and pray he figures it out.

^^I agree that they should get rid of both of them and possibly try for Cassel or someone else. I think it would be a waste to get beanie in the draft though. I think they should pick up Ward in FA and then get the best OT or LB.
