08:20 AM ET 03.03 | Texas received two more commitments Sunday as John Tyler defensive tackle Ashton Dorsey and Arlington Oakridge wide receiver Ross Apo became the Longhorns' 18th and 19th recruits for the class of 2010. Dorsey is the third defensive tackle, which was a big need for the Longhorns. Apo, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and 190 pounds, is the fourth wide receiver. He caught 37 passes his junior season for 11 touchdowns and 764 yards. In what is becoming an almost ridiculous scenario, the Longhorns received seven commitments over the weekend and continue to get whomever they target for the class of 2010. The Longhorns might be able to add four or five more recruits to that class, but Texas, through March 1, is almost finished with its class.

now they just have to get them all to stick with their commits, which never happens these days...unfortunatley, but they will still end up with a good class regardless.

You're right. It's probably more difficult keeping them as it was getting them.

Hook 'Em Horns!
Well, we could always sign 37 like Ole Miss. That way, it doesn't matter if 10 decommit. Nutt has it covered in Mississippi.

Mack had success in keeping all his recruits last year and he had 19 by the end of May. And if these guys verballed this early, saying it was a childhood dream to be a Longhorn, they're not decommiting.

I love players that come in saying they want to play for this or that school because it was a childhood dream. You don't see that too much anymore.

Because Texas is far and away the top program in one of the top football states in America the kids they are signing are top flight players who have always dreamed of playing at UT. It is completely different from Florida or Florida state getting a kid early and having to fight off the other schools in the state plus UGA, LSA and Bama. UT is the easiest job in America when it comes to recruiting.

Mack must have went through an entire wardrobe, ripping up shirts to get this kind of result.

Now, they have to keep the kids excited for another 11 months to sign with Texas. Someone will defect to another school.

Oh yeah! Long gone are the days when OU, Okie State, Arkansas, Colorado, Nebraska, KU, KSU, MU and a multitude of others raided the state. Long gone too are all those guys who grew up Aggies, Raiders, Frogs, Bears, Owls and Mustangs (well, you can really count this one out.)

Done with their 2010 class? Depends on how this season goes. Commit doesn't mean commit anymore.

UT is fairly easy to recruit in Texas same as OSU in Ohio. The State of Florida is a little different with 3 big programs there.
