Raptors running Bosh out of Toronto

06:33 AM ET 03.03 | If any team is devising a strategy to run out your best player, it has to be the Toronto Raptors, who now have Chris Bosh playing the biggest and strongest guys with Jermaine O'Neal traded. So this week Bosh was abused by Al Horford's 21 points and 22 rebounds and got knocked around by Brandon Bass Sunday night as the Raptors fell 15 below .500 in the season's major disappointment. Most around the NBA expect the Raptors to put Bosh up for bid thus summer knowing both the Knicks and Pistons, not likely to land LeBron James, could make their major offers for Bosh in 2010.

Rupaul's on the way out .... HA HA !!!

March 3, 2009  07:28 AM ET

Trade him before he leaves for nothing in free agency.

Al Horford had 21 and 22? He's turning into a stud!

March 3, 2009  07:39 AM ET

HAHAHAHA were they cheating too BOSH?!!!!!!! YOU'RE WEAK ON DEFENSE.

March 3, 2009  07:53 AM ET

Come to Detroit City. Love the way this guy plays.

Detroit could have had him allread instead they chose that stud Darko. Ha HA Ha!!! But seriously when he leaves will The Raptors follow and leave Toronto as well? Can't see a reason to stay.

I know he is talented, but if anyone remembers him getting thrown around in the paint, by Dwight Howard, and the magic, you would know that while good, is not as good as advertised

* In last years playoffs

March 3, 2009  08:26 AM ET

He's more of an offensive player than a defensive one. Plus, he's a PF, not a center so it's no wonder he gets bullied in the paing, I mean have you dudes seen the size of centers in the league compared to him?!

March 3, 2009  08:27 AM ET

paing - paint

Their roster is a joke with no punchline.

March 3, 2009  08:38 AM ET

Bosh messed up big time for opening his mouth. Now he is the center of attention and will get all the negative criticism he deserves. He'll find out how overrated he is. He is out of Toronto for sure and his mouth and attitude speaks for itself.

Soft as tissue paper . . . .

No argument here. It would be the final acknowledgement by Joe d of the biggest mistake in franchise history. I can only imagine what these past 5 years would have been with a talent like Melo or Bosh in the fold.

March 3, 2009  09:00 AM ET

Well, what can you say, if he goes it will be just another great player leaving the Raptors (Carter, McGrady, Camby, etc.) But, I wouldn't put too much into the story, Al Hortford at that game against the Miami Heat (Jermaine O'Neil). So, if he can't tell who played against who, he probably got his story out of ass. And as for Shaq putting up 40+ against Bosh, just remeber there was no Arme, or Nash in the game, just Shaq, a former MVP, Finals MVP, Future HOF.

March 3, 2009  09:02 AM ET

Sorry, typos....meant to say, Al Hortford had the 20/20 against the Miami Heat.

Bosh is a good player. I watch most of the raps games and on most nights he is the leading scorer and rebounder. He is a very talented player but he just isn't being used right, there is no reason he should be playing center in the first place and when he does he is overmatched because he just isn't as big.
As for the RuPaul thing, it was uncalled for cause Bosh did not attack Shaq but the refs because they would not make a 3 second call.

March 3, 2009  09:12 AM ET

Girl (Bosh), you better work!!!

March 3, 2009  09:34 AM ET

Not sure why there isso much bosh hating thses days-
He's a VERY good player, not a franchise guy- but
EVERY TEAM in the league will be lining up to sign this guy

This is just idle talk from one writer. I seriously doubt that the Raptors have given up on him. He's a 4, and not a 5. In a perfect world, he wouldn't be asked to defend Shaq or Horford. I think the RuPaul thing is a bit of a stretch, but Bosh has played the game long enough to know you're never going to win an argument with the officials.
