How long can Beavers keep Robinson?

NBC's Brian Williams may know coach Rob as "the guy I mistook for Reggie Love'' but in this market he's Craig Robinson, miracle worker. ... in fact, coach Rob has done so well in Year 1 of a six-year contract which instructs him to walk on water and get OSU back to the NCAA Tournament that some of us are already speculating about how much longer the Beavers can keep this guy. As in, better look out, or St. John's or Maryland or some team back east is liable to steal him away, even though there is a hefty $1 million buyout at this early stage of his contract. "If somebody actually came along with an (offer) ... ? I don't even know what people are talking about. I know somebody has mentioned St. John's, because Bob mentioned it to me. But St. John's? That's not a turnaround, that would be a really hard job. ... of course, if somebody said Bill Self has decided to go pro and Kansas wants you, you have to say, OK, let me talk to them. ... you know what I mean? But I'm not, you know (looking). ..it would be hard for me to keep hopping around.''

I don't get the St. John's connection. The Oregonian is right when they state that the Johnnies are more of a hard job then a turnaround. I love St. John's but right now they need a coach willing to dig in for the long haul.

Not sure Robinson is that guy.

Guys, it's Maryland because his mama lives there. We always listen to our mamas.

Rummer has it that he is considering the head coaching job in LA or Boston, Or might accept the job in Pheonix with the struggling Sun's, he wants to convince pheonix they need CHANGE. Be carfull though he wants to CHANGE the Suns into a soccer team.

The last I checked, old Gary hasn't been doing all that well. He does have an upset win versus the Tarheels, but his program has been in decline for several seasons.
