Sun Devils land 2010 commitment
Dennis Erickson has his first commitment for the 2010 football recruiting class: Chandler High School running back Taylor Walstad. Walstad, 6-foot, 205 pounds, rushed for 589 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior for the Wolves. As a sophomore at Basha High School, Walstad ran for more than 1,100 yards and scored 13 touchdowns.

Was he hurt his jr year? 1,100 as a soph and 589 as a jr is the wrong direction.

That happened to Matt Barkley at USC too. His junior year was great but his senior year was way downhill, but it didn't seem to hurt his college recruitment.

Supposedly, Barkley didn't have as much talent around him is sr. year. Good thing for him USC offered as he shouldn't have the same problem there.

The soph numbers are JV NUMBERS from Basha High. This kid was on JV soph year, did not play Varsity Soph year. He posted a youtube highlight video from Soph year. Again, it was JV. He transferred to Chandler for Junior year. He was NOT a Starter at Chandler Jr. year. This kid is way overhyped, a master self promoter.
