08:15 AM ET 03.22 | Kassim Osgood is getting his wish a year later. The Chargers put Osgood on the trading block more than two weeks ago, hoping to get a late-round pick for the special teams standout and erstwhile receiver. "You would be correct, sir," Chargers General Manager A.J. Smith said when asked if Osgood was officially available for trade. Osgood, a Pro Bowler as a special teamer following the 2006 and '07 seasons, has been dissatisfied with his lack of playing time as a receiver for a few years. Last March, he publicly voiced his desire to be traded. He then skipped the team's offseason workout program. In November, Osgood slammed head coach Norv Turner in a television interview. Smith had said last March that Osgood would remain in San Diego for the duration of the $3.45 million contract he signed before the 2006 season. Asked why Osgood was being shopped now, Smith declined to elaborate.
